COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

UPDATED: NOV 2, 2013 Golden colour with minimal head. The aroma is citrusy with notes of lemons. The flavour is immensely hoppy but too extreme. Almost like grapefruit at breakfast which desperately needs sugar. Too hoppy for me but doubtless a fine beer. Score 3.1

Nice citrus flavor, quite hoppy with a zany bitterness. A bit too much hoppiness for me but other than that, it's preety good.

A well balanced hop flavor with good nose and head. A IPA that can be had all night. Decent head and nice lacing make this a fine IPA.

Had this when in Chicago last ... excellent. Could use just a bit more hops/bitterness.

Aroma begins with a crisp, grassy hop, towards the middle more sour apples develop. Deep golden color, clear with some tiny bubbles, and nice head. Flavor mirrors the aroma, very hoppy at first, not the piney quality of west coasts, and towards the middle the malt comes alive. Firm body and touch of sourness. Crisp tart finish. Decent.

a very good IPA. Not very hoppy.. but i consider that an advantage more then a disadvange. Sweet taste, just enough hops to keep it intresting, but still nothing special.

Smells like grapefruit and pine, what a shocker. Amber with decent head. Thin mouthfeel. One dimensional malt flavor is completely dominated by citric hops. Where is this frutiness I have been hearing about? Hops won't go away, even after the glass has long been emptied. Should come with a white and black generic American IPA label on it with a caution: This beer lacks creativity or character. BTW, if you are looking for a great IPA from this region, get the Bells Two Hearted Ale listed to your right.

The appearance is nothing special but fairly standard for the style. Frothy white head on an amber body. Aroma is dominated by the floral /citrus aroma. The taste however is supported by a nice malt backbone for an IPA. Mouthfeel is nice and buttery. I like this beer and would add it to my repurchase list. Give this one a shot.

sweet n' fruity floral hop aroma..nice, semi-bitter yet grainy flavors with some notes of grapefruit. Not as complex as you'd think from the aroma..but somewhat balanced and refreshing with tangerine notes here and there.

This is a pale ale. It is a pale orangish color, and it is an ale Hops dominate the nose, but there is a more than ample malt backbone. Good medium mouthfeel, clean, hoppy follow through. Beer as it ought to be.
