COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop loverís dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one youíll remember.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2005 Golden orange in color with a white head. Has a orange and lemon citrus notes in the aroma. Sometimes it can smell like juicy fruit gum, or have grassy hops dominate the citrus. Flavor varies significantly from batch to batch. Some are very sweet and citrusy while others have much more hop profile to them. Very nice hoppy citrus lemon and orange taste with some noticable malt to balance. A superb brew very fruity and tasty.

08.29.04 12oz bottle. Golden color, or a pale amber; smallish head. Pretty standard micro-IPA in most respects, but with a real kick-ass aroma. Lots of citrus blossoms, springtime pines, and grapefruit breakfast smells make for a delicious nose. The flavors donít really keep up as the hops, which were so welcome in the aromas, completely take over the flavor. Nice bitterness on finish, but an aftertaste that lingers in a not so great way. Thanks Bunkypop.

Draught: Clear, ruby-amber color. Lasting, average, creamy white head. Excellent lacing. Heavy flowery, grassy, piney, sprucy, citrusy, hop flavor. Also some clove notes. Medium body and slick texture. Average carbination. Bitter finish. Heavily bitter. Pretty good IPA.

Bottle from Safeway. Golden coloured, with a good white head. Very hoppy, aroma and a hoppy taste. Bitter and slightly malty aftertaste. Medium body. Good IPA.

Clear amber with a thick frothy off white head. Aroma of citrus, tangerine, caramel, pine, and light bread with a hint of spice. Medium velvety body with a moderate amount of carbonation. Flavor of bread, orange peel, grapefruit, biscuits, caramel, and pine with a hint of spice and leather. Hoppy, but not as ridiculously overdone as with some American IPAs. Good.

Very hoppy nose, clear golden/orange color, very thin white head, a little light in the palate, hoppy flavor but lacking depth, no subtle hints of fruit or gnomes hats, a little malty and then a bitter hop finish, not bad but not a stand out by any stretch.

Excellent hop flower nose - after that a nice sharp flavour but then gives way to a pretty standard IPA. Good but not great.

Piney aroma, hoppy taste. Bitter, as you would expect from the style. Good beer.

This was good but it seems to me that all IPAs are starting to taste the same, within a small deviation. I canít remember the last time I had an IPA offer something new to me. Pours a clear copper/amber color with a small white and well-lacing head. Aroma is IPA. Flavor is IPA. Body is IPA. See what I mean?

Bottled at Derby Beer Festival. Outstanding stuff; shimmering amber body topped with a firm white head. Stunning hoppiness, limes shine through in the refreshing flavour, biscuit dry finish. Iíll certainly be buying a few cases of this in the vain hope that the English summer wiill let me enjoy a few out on the patio.
