3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice sweet hoppy aroma. Pours golden yellow with a small white head that disappears quickly. No noticeable carbonation. Medium sweet hop induced frutyness. Little froth, almost flat mouth feel. Flavor stays with you all way to the bottom of the glass. This is a full flavor beer that is not overpowering. For my money, and I didnít pay much, This is a decent ale.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Big jump to go from 4 straight traditional scottish ales, with no hops, to this. Got that great aroma, not too bitter with some nice hops throughout. Pretty good stuff.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JAN 21, 2007 Very much a mediocre IPA. Some mild flavor of hops, grapefruit, malt, and yeast but neither well blended nor well balanced. Finish tastes like cardboard.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Clear amber to light copper with a craggy white head. Striped lacing. Grapefruit and some floral hop aromas. Biscuity to light caramely malt body infused with grapefruit zest hoppiness. Finishes very clean and dry for the style, with just the mildest hoppy/bitter aftertaste. Subtle carbonation. Relatively modest ABV for the style and overall drinkability may alllow this to be considered a "session IPA." I can imagine this being the ideal pizza beer.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A great IPA from Chicago. This is the first Goose Island brew Iíve had and if the rest are anything like this they will be on top of my list of brewers! The pour was a hazy orange with a thin white head. The taste was all malt offsetted by a great hoppy bitter aftertaste. Gooses honk and I would honk for another bottle of this! World class!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Dark yellow, with a medium off-white head. From the aroma, this beer is pretty heavily hopped. Mostly a pine smell. Light and resinous, with a slight bit of malt. Despite the light body, the finish is a bit sour.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle: a medium hopped citrus aroma with a small amount malts in the scent. Appearance is an orange/amber color with a small white head. Taste is more citrus than big over the top hops a light malt texture melds throughout. Palate is kind of sweet with the bitterness lingering on after a half a minute or so. Overall, as an IPA itís a good drinking beer, but it does lack in the hop flavor. Itís a nice medium bodied beer that can be enjoyed by all.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a thin head that was gone after a few sips. Pleasant citrus and pine aroma. Citrus and pine are also present in the flavor along with a touch of malt. Iíve had a few IPAís recently that all seemed to be heavily dominated by grapefruit flavors, which I do not care for. The citrus in this IPA leans more towards orange and does not give you that pucker-up bitterness. Really good stuff and quite enjoyable.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
bottle: Attractive head with some lacing. Light orange color with lots of carbonation. Heavy pine & citrus in the aroma. with some pastry. Muted spicy hop finish, but still strong and long. Entry is bready and mildly sweet. Good body. Creamy/milky all the way through.
