COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Poured from 12 oz bottle (bottled on Jan 8, 2015) into schooner glass. Appearance: pours a 1" pillowy head that falls slowly with some mild lacing. Color is mostly clear deep gold. Abundant streaming carbonation. Aroma: fairly for the style, pleasant citrus and pine, nice biscuit malt. Mouthfeel: fairly light, very carbonated and frothy with a quite dry finish. Flavor: citrus elements are stronger than in the aroma. The biscuit is in the background. Also pick up some earthy bitter hops and hop oil in the finish. Overall: very good, but a bit too aggressive and lacking the subtle and balanced flavors of the milder English IPA style.

Appearance is light orangey golden, a bit of haze, a half finger solid white fizzy head. Aroma- fresh hops, pineapple, some malt notes, pine, orange. Taste- bitter hops, quite a bit of creamy malt, tangerine, hops, medium to full mouthfeel, long-lasting bitter finish, which becomes biscuity. Tasty.

* Old rating, best before 15/12/2010. Sehr hopfenaromatisches Bier. Malzig-süßlicher Körper, frisch, aber dennoch recht süßlich-würzig, was die florale Hopfennote etwas in den Hintergrund drängt. Süßlich-hopfenaromatischer und nicht zu bitterer Nachgeschmack.

Pours hazy copper body with average foamy head and lacing. Strong woody pine and resinous aromas. Maltiness flavor subdued by crisp citrus, pine, and floral notes. Dry, but smooth finish.

Bottle. Pours nearly clear amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of hops, malt and fruit, with some citric notes. Intense, bitter flavour of hops, complemented by sweet notes of fruit and caramel malt and touches of citrus. Bitter aftertaste with citric hints and estery touches. Well-balanced and decent, indeed.

On tap at fireside Grill. Very easy drinking English style IPA. Nice change up from all the west coast IPA’s.
