COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Tall boy poured into the ipa glass. Clear burnt golden color with a white head for days. Aromas of mild pine, sweet citrus, toast and caramel. Taste is easy going with a bready sweetness, fruits and slight resin that is well balanced. Can’t really go wrong for the price either. Cheers!

On tap at Royal Oak Pub. Pours a good size frothy head that goes away not long after. Has a pale golden appearance. Thick patchy lacing. Aromas of citrus and floral hops. Flavours are mostly citrus hops and bready and caramel malts. Average carbonation. Light bodied mouthfeel. Pretty good, just missing a bit of punch for an IPA.

on tap. unclear very pale golden with a small white cap, some retention and lacing. doughy maltiness, honeyed malts, salted and chalky caramel, fruitiness - white grapes, faint citrus and pine, candies. average to light carbonation, light body - oily and feels darn heavy for stated abv; semi-sweet spicy-citrusy finish. muted and not very sessionnable. an average ipa it is.
Earlier Rating: 4/28/2014 Total Score: 3.4
pours clear bright and light golden with a nice white cap, some retention and lacing. spicy toasted maltiness - quite doughy for stated abv, good dose of caramel, faint citrus and pine, white grape juice and other fruity esters. moderate carbonation, light body - relatively dry and balanced grassy-citrusy-piney-piney finish. tad muted but then again maybe a bit oldish. spicy. citrusy. straightforward. effective. example of the style for sure.
