COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Bottle from Morrisons. Pours copper with good white head and good lacing. Nice and clear. Aromas of slightly dank hops with a touch of citrus. Taste is medium malt with a bitter dry finish. A solid drinkable ipa but lacks any punch.

Woody slight citrus aroma, initial bittersweet hoppy taste blankets the tongue, followed by an increasing sweetness, similar to Haribo sweets, rising briefly before returning to a long lasting medium bitter finish.

355ml. bottle from Sainsburys with b/b 18/11/16. Sampled at home. Pours almost crystal clear gold with medium cabonation and near white head which dissipates slowly. Initial aroma of peach/apricot with dark marmalde edge and light biscuity malt and light pine. Very nice. Light to medium mouth feel. Bitter-sweet orange flavour with lingering hop bitterness to finish. Biscuity malt more prominent on the nose as the beer warms up a bit. Bitter-sweet, refreshing IPA.

2/10/16 Washington DC ($5 12 oz draft pour into beer mug at Harry’s Pub). Golden pour, mild carbonation, thin white head with medium lacing. Hops aroma the predominant smell. Dry bitter hoppy pleasant taste, texture firm, nice medium carbonation lingers, feels good going down. Overall good offering I finally got around to entering into RB,

Bottle at home. Deep golden with a white head. Nice lacing. Grass, grapefruit, citrus fruits and herbal notes in the aroma. Very low carbonation makes it extremely smooth, perhaps even too much. Grassy and grapefruity in flavour. Good balance between bitterness and sweetness.

Zapach: Niesamowity, głęboki i niezapomniany aromat igiełek sosnowych. Bardzo dominujący żywiczny zapach przykrywający nawet owocową woń. Czuć też również herbatę i lekki karmel.
Smak: W smaku nuty żywiczne połączone z grejpfrutową owocowością oraz skórką pomarańczy. Piwo ma także herbaciano-ziołowy profil. Prócz tego można w nim znaleźć trochę karmelu i trawiastych akcentów. Goryczka jest solidna i dość długa. Finisz wyrażnie ziołowy z delikatnym grejpfrutem. Odczucie w ustach średniopełne. Bardzo dobrze zbalansowane piwo.
Wysycenie: Niskie.
Podsumowanie:
Goose Island IPA to jedno z najbardziej rozpoznawalnych i znanych IPA na świecie. Sam browar to potęga!
