COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Type: 12-oz. bottle Glass: Manzanita pint glass From: Cherokee Market Beer & Wine in Normal Heights (San Diego), Calif. Price: $9.99 for a 6-pack Purchased: April 28, 2013 Consumed: April 28, 2013 Misc.: Born on March 11, 2013 Poured a caramel orange hazy color with two fingers of white frothy head. Very good layered khaki white lacing all the way down. Great retention of layered film all the way down. Smelled sweet floral hops, lime citrus hops, pine, tropical fruit, faint resin hops and even some caramel malts. Clean, crisp and refreshing. Tasted similar to the nose, not quite as strong as I’d thought it would be. Almost tastes more like a pale ale than an IPA. Lime citrus hops, orange peel, orange, grapefruit, resin, pine. Light body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Clean, crisp, watery abrupt finish with some bitterness lingering on the tongue after. I’ve had this before and I thought it was a bit better, but I wasn’t feeling it. This IPA just didn’t impress me.

This is a very good offering from goose island it has a classic ale taste with a decent amount of bitter hops. also has a hint of smoke in the flavor and almost floral. Very good IPA

A very well rounded IPA. Beautiful on the nose, crisp with the hop without being too thin on the palate. I enjoy the robustness of Imperials more, but this is super solid.

From bottle, seemed weak in every sense of the word for an IPA to be honest. ABV is equally weak. Not terrible, but tastes like what it is.

Very nicely balanced ipa. The malts are somewhat boring but the hop profile is slightly spicy and citrusy. Doesn't do anything wrong. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle: Appearance is golden brown with minimal off white head. Aroma is of floral hops. Taste is a concoction of floral and citrus hops with a nice malt backbone.

Bottle. Nothing particularly wrong with this. Definitely a great entry level IPA if you're trying to ease a newcomer into the style, but not all that impressive otherwise.

Bottle; Color: Rich, golden color with orange tint. Aroma: citrus, perfume. Flavor: Overwhelming tarte; bitterness that overpowers the mildly citris flavor.
