Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a decent white head that disappears quickly leaving a thin ring and some lacing. Hints of pine and grass in the aroma. Taste is medium bitter and almost no sweetness. Average carbonation, light to medium body, flavors of grapefruit, maybe other citrus, no perceptible malt, medium texture and a solidly bitter finish that shows a sticky sweetness in the far finish.

Clear orange colour with white head. Aroma is very hoppy and fruity. Taste is a great combination of sweet maltiness and hoppy bitterness. Medium to full bodied with a nice kinda bittersweet finish.

Bottle - Amber Gold in colour. Very Fruity; citrus grapefruit and tangerines. Very Hoppy; piney resinous and spicy peppery hops. Malty backbone; caramel, buttery malt base. Good fruit/hop/malt balance. Rather salty. Moderately bitter citrus fruity hoppy throughout. Dry finish. Very refreshing. Nice IPA!

Clear golden with a thin foamy white head. Strong hoppy grassy aroma with a wee touch of grapefruit rind. Flavor is clean and lightly hoppy with the same grassiness and light grapefruit rind tones from the nose with a touch of floral hops at the finish. Pretty nice and floral.

Bottle from waitrose, teignmouth. Poured at about 6 degrees celsius at home Appearance: effervescent slightly hazy amber liquid with fairly stable frothy yellow tinged head Aroma: Tangerine, grapefruit, pomegranate, pine, subtle hints of cherry/apple and a buttery biscuitness. Stings a little if you get it up your nose and reveals slight vinegar qualities. Taste: hits immediately with strong bitterness that fades rapidly revealing orange zest, biscuits, cappucino, avocado, melon (and possibly over ripe banana skin). Finishes with butter, orange and biscuit. Palate: smooth and very creamy with a pleasant thick sugaryness at the back. Good light fizz and slightly antiseptic feel. Overall: a zesty little number, strong smell and taste of orange, that is fairly bitter to begin but develops into creamy, sweet beer that really tickled the tongue.
