Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop loverís dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one youíll remember.

Itís so tempting to give up on this beer now that itís owned by InBev and available pretty much everywhere, but thatíd be missing the point. This is a pretty solid, pretty good IPA that you can get pretty much everywhere. I even had it at a bowling alley last night. It is well-made and tasty, and while it lacks a ton of hop complexity and the intensely aromatic hop smells of the best IPAs, Iíll happily drink it anywhere I see it.

For an IPA this bear appeared pretty ídullí to me. Hoptones were tasteful, but disappeared quite quickly and the taste ídied outí.

HOME (2016.01.02): 35.5 cl bottle. A clear dark yellow beer with a good off-white head. Aroma is light malty. For the rest a nice hop smell with fruitiness (apple, pear, light citrus-like). Taste is light sweet whit somewhat malty, which give enough body for the dry hop-bitter character of this beer. Citrus-like fruity/marmalade. In the finish somewhat yeast and biscuit. Reasonable beer, but not a topper.

Simple IPA, decent beer but pretty mediocre when compared to other IPAs. The malt is a bit thin so it does not balance out the hops. I often like hoppy unbalanced IPAs but at the same time the malt needs to present the hop variety used in its best light and I donít think this beer really does that. Still is an ok beer compared to beers overall but not very high on the IPA list.

Brilliant light amber color with strong, persistent pear head. Faint aroma balanced with grain malt and floral hops. Medium strength floral flavor. Overall bitter hop flavor. Weak carbonation with drying mouthfeel. fresh, medium and biter finish.

33cl bottle from the supermarket (InBev, eh?). Pours a clear amber, with a white head with decent retention, that gives way to a sticky lacing. Smells of barley malt, honey and citrus hops. The taste follows the same notes, with caramel, malted barley, mellow grapefruit. Smooth mouthfeel, a pleasure to drink, definitely a sessionable beer.

Amazing beer. Great hopy taste, exact bitterness with a fresh aftertaste. Good carbonation, all around great beer!
