Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

12oz bottle into snifter glass. Clear light golden color with white head. Aroma of strong pine and citrus hops. Taste was much the same, maybe a little more floral. Nicely bitter, balanced though with malt sweetness. Medium body, smooth, long bitter aftertaste. Enjoyed.

Big aroma of sticky tropical fruit, like mango and maybe a hint of papaya, kind of falls flat in the mouth with lots of malty syrupy sweetness, tastes more like a standard pale ale. Somewhat unbalanced. Okay beer.

Draft at 13th Avenue Pub. Pours a cloudy medium amber with a loose and sudsy off-white head that sticks around for a while. Odd nose; mix of vegetal, bread dough, herbal hops, and some toasty bread crust. The hops seem a funny choice, and there’s promise enough in the malt notes, but then the off-notes throw everything away. Still, the flaws are not overwhelming. They’re just sloppy. Creamy medium body with moderate carb. Lightly toasted caramel, vegetal notes, herbal hop, and some bread dough on the mid palate. Muddy, indistinct finish. I paid for the whole pint, but I only needed the first 20% or so before we moved on to the next place.

From 330 ml bottle. Amber with a bit of a white head. Tastes very hoppy with bitterness. Feels like a stronger ABV than it actually is. One of the better IPAs that are common to but in the supermarket ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a bottle into a wine glass, (pinkies up). The appearance holds a translucent golden-orange with a simple thin white head of light foam. The aroma opens up with a citrus and tropical fruti collsion carrying over into the tasting as I get notes of tangerine, grapefruit, papaya, mango and some grass and pine dank to follow. A pleasant lightweight IPA.

Aroma and flovers with hop notes, which takes on citruses, pine, tangerine, some peaches, supported with malt flavors, which takes on bread, light toffee. Finish is slightly dry, bitter. Body is moderate medium, texture soft, carbonation is medium.

Bottle top spins by hand, this top is not a screw off!!! This is the second time I’ve purchased this beer with loose tops on all bottles of a 12 pack. A little concerning for me, will check tops if I ever purchase this beer again.

Cant complain its a good IPA especially for beginner craft drinkers, but nothing to write home about but one of the better grocery store beers, I’ll drink it again.
