COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Love this stuff because it totally opened my eyes to American craft beers. I don’t want to insult it by calling it a gateway beer, but it’s not QUITE as fantastic as I remember it now that my palate has developed. The hopping is mainly a firm, clean bitterness, with only mild hop flavor but powerful aroma. To me it’s very piney, woody and almost waxy. Typically clean/neutral US malt & yeast.

Hazy amber with a creamy white head. Good retention and good lacing. Aroma of grassy hops, orange, hint of cereal. Taste of bitter marmalade, grassy hops. Medium sweetness. Long strong bitter finish.

Très bonne IPA! Gout prononcé des houblons, moins fleuri sur la fin mais reste agréable

On tap poured into a shaker. A citrus and bubblegum aroma are noticeable before the first sip with a faint floral or spicy note to it. As it settles, a toasted caramel malt aroma comes through, although nothing too strong. The gold-orange beer is topped by a light, off-white head that leaves a, likewise, light lacing. This beer strikes a really nice balance between medium levels of sweetness and bitterness. A soft carbonation gives this beer a creamy smooth texture. The medium body is primarily bubblegum and citrus with a slight floral spiciness and some caramel mid-sip. It finishes clean and dry with a resin-like quality and a mellow aftertaste that combines a light, sweet citrus with a light pine, maybe floral / grass, note that has an average staying power.

Bottle @ home. Hazy amber body with a medium offwhite head. Lots of hopds, tropical fruit and malt in the nose and mouth along with some perfume flowery notes. Lovely, long bitter finish. Nice and refreshing ipa.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance had a golden colored body with a small white head that immmediately died. The lacing was spotty and left no rings. There wasn’t any surfacing carbonation. The smell was mostly floral with some pine in the background. The hops were mainly balanced with some light malts in there as well. The taste was basically the pines and the malts with the hops coming back very faintly. On the palate, she sat at medium, had a light carbonation, and was pretty sessionable. Overall, this wasn’t a bad beer, but wasn’t anything spectacular but I was hoping for better.

I had Goose Island India Pale Ale off tap paired with well spiced lamb chops. The aroma and taste held up well against the meat. The finish was a little long but was very enjoyable in a meal.
