3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle BBD020705 Nice, rich brassy color. Good head & lace...happy bubbles. Nice nose of malt & floral, citrusy, piney hops. This smells fresh. I wonder how long after bottling that date is? Light bodied. Flavor doesnít quite live up to the aroma. Malt is somewhat there, hop flavors are there, but not a super bold beer. It is light drinking, which hurts it a tad. Hops dominate, but bitterness not as promounced as some. Still, a lingering hop resin, citric note perists in the aftertaste. Seems more pale ale than IPA...But a good hoppy beer.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Vinens Verden, Odense. Best before at december 2010, but already seemed a bit old to me. Weird and quite unpleasant flavors of jelly candy, black currant, cat pee (!) and caramel. A little sweet and lacks the proper bitterness for an IPA. Should try this one again since this was probably and old or bad bottle.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours somewhat clear but hazy yellow orange with near white head. Moderate amount of aroma; piney and grassy hop aromas overlying some grainy, sweet malt. Hop flavours, grassy and piney are there. Body, light-medium and simple coupled with medium-high bitterness, though not all that complex lingers through the end for a medium dry finish with a lingering hop presence. Itís all about the hops for this beer, the body takes a back seat, which is evidently a personal choice when it comes to ipaís. Love the hop presence in this one though.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a light burnished copper with a loose off-white head. Light citrus spice and earth in the aroma with mild malt characteristics as well. Very earthy hops flavors--loam, dry needles--with some crisp malt notes. Light-bodied with good bitterness and a clean finish.

Good ipa. Drank out of bottle because I was too lazy to find a glass. 28 degrees Celsius outside, hot.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Thought this one was great. Nice and affordable as others have said, and along those lines as well it is also moderate in alcohol. Iíd imagine I could drink a six pack of this stuff and neither tire of it or be too off kilter. Thatís hard to find. But onto the beer.
Bright citrus bouquet of hops--orange, flowers, and lemony. The color is bright orange and not at all amber. There was a very full mouthfeel that was nice, considering this beerís small footprint. I wish more places sold this one. This is the stuff go-to beers are made of.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: DEC 8, 2006 This is better than GIís Impy IPA that cost almost $5 a bottle.
This inexpensive brew is better than many higher priced IPAís. Many faint notes come together nicely-- nothing is overplayed and I leaves you guessing and wanting more. Lime/orange tea. More herbs/spices than most. Maybe banana or pear.
