COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

We have a very hoppy and citrus aroma in taste and aroma. Good carbonation, sweet and strong notes of lemon. Smooth, felt silky in the mouth. Very nice.

12oz Pour $5.00 Goose Island Clybourn Goose’s IPA was served in a straight tulip style glass. Poured a dark golden hinting at copper with a bright white one finger head. As the head fell to a thick cap it left sheet lacing down the glass. After every sip more sheet lacing was left leaving the whole glass opaque as the beer was put to bed. Goose Islands IPA had more of hop presence than expected. There is a solid biscuity malt with a touch or two of caramel showing through but the hops do manage to ease them from the picture. The hops come throgh very fragrant with floral overtones and citric undertones. Very nice aroma. Flavor runs right along the lines of the aroma. A semi-sweet pale and caramel maltiness start things off and just barely manage to keep some balance in the flavor. The hops aain are the showcase. Vibrant floral and citric hops with a touch of the resinous-ness (Ha-Ha) take over and create a very welcomed hop profile. Medium bodied with a carbonation on the sluggish side of moderate. This beer works through on it’s own to let the vibrant hoppiness show through. I honestly could session this beer with no problem at all. If I didn’t have other things to do today I would probably still be sitting there drinking IPAs. A great IPA from Goose Island that, to me, seems very underrated. I have sampled bottles in the past and they weren’t quite as vibrant as the fresh tapped version. 10/20/07

12 oz bottle poured in a tulip. The beer pours a clear golden orange with a thin whirte head and little lacing. Aroma is subdued but I pick up citrus, pine, and caramel. Flavor is pine and citrus up front. It is met with a juicy tropical fruit flavor and caramel. Mouthfeel is juicy, quenching, and somewhat dry. Tasty and sessionable.

Pours a liquid gold with a nice sized white head. Aroma is hoppy. Nice and creamy on the palate with hops predominate on the flavor profile, sharp but not bitter. An IPA lover’s delight. Pairs well with ham and cheese on rye.

Pours amber in colour, clear with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Strong citrus hops and grapefruit aroma with noticeable pine scents as well. Mildly sweet with a reasonable bitterness through to the finish. Medium bodied, good carbonation, and a nice smooth feel on the palate. Strong IPA, an enjoyable brew.

Pours copper with an egg white head. Taste and aroma are good hops, citrus and sweet orange flavours with a good bitter-sweet finish. Very lttle alcohol apparent. A good beer.

Cloudy orange in color, head dissipates quickly. Hop pellets on the nose. Aroma and taste are consistent, balanced and consistent flavor throughout- evenness of hops. Mouthfeel is surprisingly creamy / heavy / suspended vs being sharp.

Helder oranje-geel bier. Geuren van hop, mout, bloemen. Smaken van hop, licht bitter, grassige nasmaak. Lekkere frisse IPA, niet heel uitgesproken van smaak, goede introductie hoe een IPA smaakt als je dit soort bier niet kent.

Draft. Aroma is hoppy, but more floral than most IPAs. Appearance is a light bronze with some good, white lacing. Taste starts out almost sweet, then turns hop bitter before rolling into a danky hop finish. Palate is hoppy, but nice for an IPA. Overall, a good IPA. Very drinkable. Would buy again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2015/09/08 - Pours a clear copper colour with frothy, off white head that quickly reduces. Aroma is rather malt forward; floral hops, bread, citrus, caramel, biscuit and mild pine. Taste is a little more balanced, but still slightly malt forward; cracker, caramel, citrus and light floral notes. Mouthfeel is medium and slightly sticky with slightly biting carbonation and a dry, crisp finish. A little bland, but still rather drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
