COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

35,5 cl bottle, pours a clear golden with a tiny head, medium bitterness, pretty light drinkable and decent beer.

Pours a clear golden copper, with little head and an equally small amount of lace. Nice aroma of grass and citrus. Flavor is citrus and citrus fruit rind with a finish that is slightly bitter, but clean.

Somewhat cloudy golden in color with a white head, decent lacing. Pine aroma with floral and citrus hints to it. Definite hops in there and in the taste as well. Starts out bold and continues you throughout. Light citrus taste underneath the hops. Bitter finish turns me off a bit, admittedly though, I am not a big IPA fan. That being said, its a pretty decent representation of the style.

Nice sweet citrus aroma, but it dissipates quickly and turns a little oniony as it warms. A slightly astringent burnt carmel flavor is soon swallowed up by a more astringent bitterness. It’s not bad, certainly drinkable, and better than most mass market beers. But it’s not nearly balanced or any real "hop lover’s dream." There are so many more tasty choices out there; why bother?

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2009 Not as strong or dry as other IPAs. The hops do not give off as much aroma as Sierria Nevada PA or IPA. It is a good beer to drink anytime. A bit above average but not great.

Stylistically very hoppy, but still refreshing. Citric and fruity, long bitter aftertaste. Great American-style IPA!

This is a very good IPA and at a reasonably good value. I appreciate the lingering bitterness of the hops. There’s plenty of tang to go around just as you’d expect. Good malty body is there but you have to get past the hops to find it...just as it should be with an IPA. What I really like about this IPA is that is readily available at a lot of retail outlets.

Draft at Goose Island Clybourn brewpub. A clear pale gold, little head or carbonation - seems to be a trend here. Lovely aroma of... well... of marijuana. Lovely fresh hop flavour. And there’s that weed again. This is wonderful stuff. The star of the show at Goose Island this evening. They are out of the Imperial IPA - I can’t imagine what that would be like. Hard to top this.

Bottle. Light orange with tight white head. Mellow hop citrus aroma. Soft on the palate, with a hop and toasted malt finish. Good balance. Kind of reminds me a smaller Great Divide Titan.
