COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Golden in color with scents of citrus hops that dominate. In the mouth it was medium-bodied and very well-balanced. To repeat, the thing that strikes me most is the balance.

On tap at O'hare airport. Pours amber with a white head. Not like most other IPAs, this one is not that hoppy. Sweet malt, fruity, mild bitterness, citrus. I normally don't like malty IPAs but this one was pretty good. Very drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From the bottle, it pours a light, clear copper-orange color with a small rocky white head. The head disipates quickly leaving some lacing on the rim of the glass. The aroma is of sour grapefruit peel with notes of grass and some sweete malt undertones. The initial flavor is also of sour grapefruit peel. The middle begins to balance things out with a bit of sweet malt and then the finish is of hop bitterness that lasts a long time. A VERY nice IPA.

This was my first micro beer on my trip back from Japan to the States! I have to say after being stranded in Japan for 6 months it was nice to have a good American IPA for once. Bought this guy right in the Chicago airport on my way to Minneapolis. Pours out a deep amber color with a really nice and thick off-white head. Grapefruit hops and pine resin all over the place on this one. I could smell the beer as I was walking to my seat to enjoy it. Flavor is very much citrus oriented and is backed by caramel and toffee malts. However, I didn’t think that the hops really took away the sweetness that much. I know some people like their IPA’s a bit sweet, I’m not one of them. I like it hoppy and balanced this one was just a bit too sweet for me to really boost the rating, this being said, this is still an excellent IPA.

Orange pour with a thin white head and lacing that clings solidly to the glass. Light pine and citrus aroma. Taste is citrus and light pine. Really crisp and refreshing.

16 oz. can at Sugarfire O’Fallon MO. I just picked this one up thinking "it’s an IPA, how bad could it be?" It greatly exceeded all expectations, changing my mind about macrobrew IPA’s. Good pine and slight citrus hop character, great finish, definitely worth trying. Easy to find and unpretentious, you could do much worse than this when you need an IPA and a premium bottle shop is not available.

Poured into an English pint glass. Amber color with a cream colored head. Aroma is caramel malt with some grapefruit hop notes. Taste is similar with more biscuity malt flavors coming through as well as some earthy hop notes. Medium bodied with a slightly dry finish. Overall this is pretty good. Not nearly as hoppy as some IPA’s, but a good traditional example.

Pours kind of a smoky peach color, with 2 fingers of a fluffy white head. Floral hop aroma with a hint of pine. Well balanced flavor, very limited initial hop bitterness followed by a very nice sweet malt flavor. Nice smooth and creamy beer with a sticky and oily palate. An easy to drink beer, but a step below the top tier IPA’s in terms of complexity and flavor.

I have been drinking nothin but IPA’s for the past couple weeks, and they are all starting to blend together for me. This one was really good too, nice amount of hops for this hop fan. Not to fruity. To many ipas claim to be the "hop lovers dream" though.
