COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Very good IPA. Not my favorite but tastes good and satifying. Nice head out of bottle. Hoppy flavor. Goose Island makes a fine product.

Golden honey color with a bit of a head that left some lacing on my Stella Artois tulip glass. Citrusy aroma. Nice balance of hops and malt. nothing overpowering, just a solid IPA.

35.5cl bottle at home. Strong citrus and hoppy flavoured aromas coming from an amber coloured, clear lively brew with white, yellow diminishing foam on top. The nose has some creamy, vanilla and pinewood hints too. Really lovely. The taste indeed is fruity, with citrus and oranges features, but it also is very dry and high in malts. The bitterness of course masters the palate. A modest - for its really light bodied and non-complex character -, good tasting IPA from the iconic Goose Island brewery.

Where: Old Line Fine Wine Spirits & Bistro. How: 12 ounce bottle. Appearance: Pours a clear golden color with a white foamy head. Aroma: Earthy and spicy hop aroma, decent. Taste: Earthy hop bitterness, with a caramel sweetness and malts. Palate: Medium body. Overall: Pretty much the quintessential IPA. Very good representation.

Pleasant aroma of floral hops, light fruit, and honey. Golden-amber color, thin white head. Nice hop flavor, decent malt support, honey, solid bitterness. Medium body, dry finish. Good all-around IPA, good balance.

Bottle: Very drinkable IPA. Pours yellow with a thick head. Aroma of hops, but not too strong. Could be a little more hoppy, but not bad.

355ml bottle. slightly hazy amber colour, small frothy off-white mostly lasting head, good lacing. Heavily hoppy fruity and slightly perfumey aroma of orange and herbs backed by moderate grainy malts. Taste is initially even somewhat sweet and malty, turning into a very bitter long finish with a moderate to heavy astringent feel. Medium body, initially dry and later oily mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Well above-average American craft IPA. Actually one of the best ones I tried, especially tastewise.

Bottle: Deep gold in color with a white head. The aroma and flavor really did not impress. The flavor just did not develop in the way I like. I love IPAs, I like Goose Island, but I don't like the Goose Island IPA. I'm glad I tried it, but I'm more glad that I got a single.
