3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled 12/04/09, consumed 12/17/09.
[A] Orange, lemon zest, spicy earthy hops, sweet malt backbone.
[A] Calm pour shows a golden amber color with one finger of white head. Quickly recedes to a slight foam with soapwater bubbles and decent lacing down the glass.
[F] Sweet pale malt, biscuity, seems to be upfront with fruitiness, juicy hops in the middle, and malty finish complimented by a resiny pine linger.
[P] Nice feel. Decent bite. Good balance. Fairly sweet.
[O/D] $6 a 6 pack is a steal. This is a good brew, even if not the greatest IPA. Pretty damn fresh, too. I could drink quite a few out of bottle without noticing. Always something good from Goose Island.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a dark yellow, almost orange color with a small head that lingers for a long time. Sweet hops smell with a taste that is even sweeter. Nice bitter finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
P: A clear golden slightly orange tinted body with a small dollop of off-white head that fades to a marshy wake. Nice effervescence screaming to the top.
S: Spicy whiffs of chili powder, white and black pepper corns, watermelon rind, and grapefruit. Traces of pine needles.
T/M: A nice toasted salty toffee malt base with hoppy melon, papaya, persimmon, cereal grains and a peppery dry resiny finish. Zesty carbonation in a moderate body.
O: A decent IPA. Not much else to say. A spicy brew to say the least but not overly accomplished. This just lacks in flavor profile and aroma. Im still waiting for it to change and be better. Probably not a go to IPA in my opinion.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle pours orange-amber with a rapidly dissipating white head. Aroma is very piney, lots of hops apparent. Taste is dominantly hoppy with a hint of citrus.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: MAR 2, 2009 An old fave: Creamy IPA with a head that lasts until the last drop. Cloudy golden pour that exudes aromas of stone fruit, honey, bready yeast and pine all intertwined in a balanced symphony of olfactory nuances. Following not too far behind is the flavor, contributing more of the same. There is a distinct British flavor, which must be the yeast. A very mellow IPA, in the sense that while it is plenty spicy and fruity, the distinction between hop and yeast flavor/aroma/bitterness are blurred. Thatís what I like. Very well balanced. Nothing crazy, but just different enough to be considered excellent and a benchmark for the style. Again, the finish is slightly bitter, slightly fruity, subtly sweet and sensuously creamy; all in balance. Excellent.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
From bottle. A clear light brown golden color. Light fruity aroma but not as prominent as I expected considering its strong hoppy character. Potent ipa flavor with a lingering bitter palate. Tasty!

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
strong hops in the aroma. Nice crisp taste of hops but had a slight metallic finish. Disappointing end to what should have been a very good beer.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours pale golden with a clear head. plenty of bubbles with a lovely sweet aroma of exotic fruits. Taste is pure hops, plenty of dry bitterness, and not at all sweet. long bitter finish tops things off. not massive depth of flavour, just loads of mad hoppyness! quite liked this one..

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. Bottle - Pours a golden yellowish with tons of fluffy off-white head. Smell is strong of hops, citrus, more fruit. Taste is similar starting citrusy sweet hoppy and quickly moves to the bittering aftertaste. Not the best IPA Iíve ever had - but one of the best easily attainable for cheap.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Well this beer comes highly recommended to me. The beer pours orangish amber in color with ample light beige head. The aroma is a nice balance of floral hops, caramel malt, and fruity yeast. The flavor is upfront bitterness followed by a solid caramel toffee sweetness and a lingering hop finish. This is what an IPA should be hoppy and balanced, and thusly very drinkable.
