COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Goose Island India Pale Ale is a slightly hazy amber color with an off-white/creamy colored head. The aroma is of spicy/mild hops and the taste is very light yet nicely bitter. This is a very easy to drink beer with a great taste.

12 oz Bottle: Pours a mostly clear honey color with a medium size frothy off-white head that is mostly lasting. The hoppy spicy aroma is fruity with hints of citrus and pineapple. Flavor is sweet and fruity with pineapple and grapefruit finishing with a lime bitterness. This beer is very refreshing to drink since the hops do not overpower you in the finish. Delicious!

Tried from the bottle via utobeer. Tried this last week and when reviewing my notes the words sweet and soapy jump out at me! Smells ok, lemongrass and citrus has a light body and not to much bitterness unfortunately...i’ve had better APA’s to be honest!

nice session IPA. Balanced, but not hoppy enough for my liking. Solid, but not what I will go with when picking 6% IPA’s.

A golden color with a white head. Aroma contains some pine, oranges, and lemons. The flavor is slightly bitter with some oranges, lemons, and tropical fruit notes. Aftertaste is bitter. Overall a nice session beer.

Really impressive everyday IPA. Pours a deep golden light amber bourbon type color with a slightly off white head. Aroma is slightly citrus with herbal and piney hops as well. Some sweet malt on the nose. Taste is similar, a little brighter citrus up front, nice medium carbonation. A sweet/toasty maltiness that moves into a lingering mild bitterness. Flavor wise you know its an IPA, but the biterness is balanced nicely. Medium boday at 5.9% abv. Nice

From bottle. Went in with strong reservations since Goose Island is now with the Evil Empire. Pour is attractive--rich gold with some nice white head. Nose is pleasant--grapefruit and gum. Citrus is constant in the taste; could use a bit more malt. 5.9% abv and 55 ibu for an ipa is pretty weak, but better than I was expecting overall. I can imagine pounding a few of these in Wrigleyville before a day game would be pretty nice.
