Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop loverís dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one youíll remember.

Pours a medium golden color with a nice white head that doesnít go down too fast. Aroma of hops, citrus and pine. Maybe a bit of hay as well. Crisp in the mouth. Nice flavor of hops, though not too bitter, and a bit of pine. This is an easy drinking IPA that isnít overpowering in flavor or smell but goes down easy.

(Bottle): Pours a clear golden-yellow with a white head. Aroma of orange juice, peaches, tropical fruit, citrus, hops. Lots of fruit flavour, malt, bread, slight honey-ish note. Really pleasant dry finish. Very drinkable.

Bottle courtesy of Piscator34- thanks Kris! Pours out a nice light hazy orange. Slight white head and lacing. Nose is of spicy earthy hops. Taste- hops at the front of the tongue- not a huge hop bite, slightly oily, heavier on the bitter side. Bitterness slides into a solid malt backbone. Good balance- finish is woody and dry. Nice mouthfeel and good carbonation. Classice american IPA stylings. Nice combo of traditional british IPA and left coast American IPA.

Pours a clear light amber with a thin white head. Aromas of some citrus and floral hops but rather tame. Flavor is hop heavy with a slight malt backbone and a bitter dry finish. First Goose Iíve tried and I will say this is a highly drinkable IPA. Not near the best Iíve tried but solid nonetheless.

Ar: Grapefruit rind, some candied orange, and caramel. Ap: Orange-copper - clear - small off-white head with moderate retention and some scattered bits of lacing. T: Light sweetness and bready - grapefruit and orange - medium-high clean bitterness - toasted malt and caramel, with grapefruit, on the finish. P: Medium body with high carbonation - finish is dry. O: Full-flavored and clean IPA - nice balance between malt and bright hops.

Not too happy witht this one. Aroma contains some of the characteristics you hope for, fruity and all, but itís not well-balanced taste, and itís actually a bit thin. Refreshing, though.

UPDATED: SEP 13, 2007 Strong citrus overtones. Strong hoppy finish: bitter, yet pleasing. Not astringent Decent amount of malty body support this good IPA.
