Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop loverís dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one youíll remember.

Pours a strawberry blond color with a creamy head. It has a nice floral hop taste and smell. It has a slightly mild butter scotch aftertaste.

One of the better Indian Pale Ales I have had. Wish we could get this beer in Tennessee, but as with it seems most good beers, you canít.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2015 Nice but simple. The head doesnít stick around for too long. Relatively light carbonation; a great, hoppy aroma with hints of pineapple; and a reasonably bitter taste that is very accessible for an IPA. Overall, very nice and drinkable. Points off because I was expecting a bit more body.

Pours a cloudy orange with less than a finger of stark white head. Fairly strong odor of floral hops in the nose. Starts fairly light and watery, leading to a basic bitterness. Itís good, but a little watery.

Notes from Friday, June 25, 2010 12 oz. bottle from Hyvee Marion Ar: Nice grapefruit nose with a good deal of piney hop. Ap: Pours a pale copper/light amber with a pillowy 1" head of tightly knit white bubbles. The head leaves a good deal of lace as it dissipates. T: Classic citrus/light piny hops on the nose. Good piney hop bitterness on the finish. P: Medium body with a nice creaminess from the head. O: Great sessionable IPA.

The pour is a darker orange color with slightly off white head. Not much carbonation on this one, with fast dissipation. Smell is wonderful of biscuty cookies, bready yeast, which play very well together. Hardly no hops on the nose. Malt backbone is incredible. Nice mouthfeel for an IPA, a good amount of malt oomph. As for the hops, I felt they were somewhat lacking, one dimensional... some fresh cut grass and pine notes in there, but not much going on. For an IPA you would think the opposite. Overall a very good beer, but just needs some more robust hop flavor. Drinkability 4/5

Goose Island India Pale Ale is a slightly hazy amber color with an off-white/creamy colored head. The aroma is of spicy/mild hops and the taste is very light yet nicely bitter. This is a very easy to drink beer with a great taste.

12 oz Bottle: Pours a mostly clear honey color with a medium size frothy off-white head that is mostly lasting. The hoppy spicy aroma is fruity with hints of citrus and pineapple. Flavor is sweet and fruity with pineapple and grapefruit finishing with a lime bitterness. This beer is very refreshing to drink since the hops do not overpower you in the finish. Delicious!

Tried from the bottle via utobeer. Tried this last week and when reviewing my notes the words sweet and soapy jump out at me! Smells ok, lemongrass and citrus has a light body and not to much bitterness unfortunately...iíve had better APAís to be honest!
