Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop loverís dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one youíll remember.

Smells like grapefruit and pine, what a shocker. Amber with decent head. Thin mouthfeel. One dimensional malt flavor is completely dominated by citric hops. Where is this frutiness I have been hearing about? Hops won't go away, even after the glass has long been emptied. Should come with a white and black generic American IPA label on it with a caution: This beer lacks creativity or character. BTW, if you are looking for a great IPA from this region, get the Bells Two Hearted Ale listed to your right.

Bottled. Good mild IPA from Goose. Decent gold/yellow color, light but fomay head. Hoppy aroma, but not over-powering. Same on taste. Good stuff.

UPDATED: OCT 9, 2013 Pours golden color with nice creamy head. Fruity aroma. Nice blend of hops and malt. Nice iPa without overwhelming hops.

One of my favorite IPAís and itís pretty affordable at that. Great aroma of spicy, floral and just a hint of citrusy hops. Flavor is nice and malty but balanced well with a very clean bitterness. Palate is very nice... Itís easy to put a few of these away.

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2010 Pours a moderately cloudy golden with a medium white head. Floral aroma on the nose with citrus and caramel. Nice hop flavor up front, but not too bitter. A slight sweetness in the finish. Not one of the hoppiest IPAs Iíve had, but still a very solid offering.

Sweet malty with some fragrant hops. Rather hoppy, well balanced. Small bubbles on the palate with smooth texture

Nice sweet citrus aroma, but it dissipates quickly and turns a little oniony as it warms. A slightly astringent burnt carmel flavor is soon swallowed up by a more astringent bitterness. Itís not bad, certainly drinkable, and better than most mass market beers. But itís not nearly balanced or any real "hop loverís dream." There are so many more tasty choices out there; why bother?

As an IPA fan, I was impressed with this beer. It had a little more maltiness than I expected, but the degree of hopping was very nice. A good balancing act, according to my palate...

Clear amber with a thick frothy off white head. Aroma of citrus, tangerine, caramel, pine, and light bread with a hint of spice. Medium velvety body with a moderate amount of carbonation. Flavor of bread, orange peel, grapefruit, biscuits, caramel, and pine with a hint of spice and leather. Hoppy, but not as ridiculously overdone as with some American IPAs. Good.
