COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop loverís dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one youíll remember.

Crisp aroma, bright and floral. Tangy, sweet, and great balance. Lovely hoppy remnants linger in my mouth long after Iíve finished, which is ideal. Texture is maybe a touch thin, but this just adds to its drinkability; not really a session beer, but I could put away a sixer of this without thinking. Readily available around here, so a perfect beer for quenching my thirst for hop.

Hoppy aroma, as expected. Some malt in the taste. Bitter finish. Balanced. Not the best IPA that Iíve had, but it tastes good. Something about it reminds me of Bellís APA, but I canít pick it out. There is a taste of pine...I could taste it most heavily when I burped haha.

Bottle from Hy-Vee Liquors poured into 16oz shaker - Pours dark golden brown with a 1.5 finger beige head that goes away fairly fast; Lots of hops and a hint of caramel to the nose; A citrusy initial taste that has a BIG floral side to it; A piney backtaste that doesnít overpower at all; No bitterness what so ever! Iím quite impressed!

Pours a clear, golden color with minimal white head. Aroma is nice mix of hops (citrus, pine & floral) and malt. This sort of reminds me of a weak 90 Minute IPA in both taste and aroma. Taste is similar with a nice citrus flavor along with some sweet malt and a bitter finish. The body is light to medium. Overall this beer is very clean and smooth but I prefer something a little more substantial.

Honey gold. Fresh and hoppy aroma. the taste is pleasantly tart and dry; very good as opposed to excellent. Head not particularly well retained.

Bottle. Pours a hazy reddish copper, rocky head. Woody and mild spicy hop nose, mild alcohol. Pleasant toffee and resin hop start to the beer and finishes dry with a spicy lingering hop flavor. Some metallic notes in the finish. Medium body, Medium driankability. "Second 6er on the cincy trip."

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2009 golden amber color nice hop aroma, fruity, apple maybe?? good hoppiness well balanced, delightful (9-20-2005) re-rate(1-17 2009) pungent hoppy aroma comming from what i conjecture to be fuggle or willamette aroma/dry hops. a little underlying grapefruit citrus, but mostly just nice english dirty spicy hop flavor and smell. I should get this more often. finish is dry, but not too dry. the malt plays a supporting role, but is not forgotten. there is just enough to give a little chew and contemplation before pounding the rest of this quenching elixir.

Golden color with a thin white head. Nice hoppy aroma, with a hint of caramel and vanilla. For the money ($5.99 in my neck of the woods) this is a very good IPA.

Piney aroma, hoppy taste. Bitter, as you would expect from the style. Good beer.

Wow this is pretty good. I agree that if it wasn't for other truely outstanding IPA's such as Three Floyds Dreadnaught, this would be at the top of the list. It's close to it though. Has a nice aroma, poured nice dark golden color with a slight head remaining through the glass. Nice lacing along the way as well. Great flavor with hints of grapefruit. Good carbonation. This is another outstanding beer that you must try if you like IPAs, which are now part of my favorites list as I seem to have been getting really good ones lately. Do not pass Go, Just GO, and get some of this.
