Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Bottle. A good IPA, the bitterness was on the lighter end of what I feel a IPA should have, but the hops were all flavor and aroma. The initial taste there is a slight hint of coffee. I might have had a bad bottle but there was a slight taste of wet cardboard, like a oxidized beer.

A slightly hazy orange-amber color with a nice white head. Hoppy grapefruit aroma. Nice flavor, obviously it’s hoppy, some nice malt flavors as well. Nice bitter finish. Very smooth mouthfeel. I drank this A LOT in college. Now that I’ve moved to Chicago, I find myself drinking a lot once again. Overall very good, but not the best IPA.

bottle: Attractive head with some lacing. Light orange color with lots of carbonation. Heavy pine & citrus in the aroma. with some pastry. Muted spicy hop finish, but still strong and long. Entry is bready and mildly sweet. Good body. Creamy/milky all the way through.

Aroma: Nice and fresh. Fruit like mango, strawberries and of course orange and grapefruit. Also, some resinous elements. Mouthfeel: Medium oily body. Taste: Mmmm. Bitter and crisp. Hoppy, but on a good, balanced malt background. A lot of citrus goodness. Not as agressive as brewdogs and flying dogs:) Finish: Bitterness that lasts and lasts. Citrus notes carry on to a tannic feel. Overall: Definitely a winner. Delicious and round. Very very enjoyable indeed.

On tap poured into a shaker. A citrus and bubblegum aroma are noticeable before the first sip with a faint floral or spicy note to it. As it settles, a toasted caramel malt aroma comes through, although nothing too strong. The gold-orange beer is topped by a light, off-white head that leaves a, likewise, light lacing. This beer strikes a really nice balance between medium levels of sweetness and bitterness. A soft carbonation gives this beer a creamy smooth texture. The medium body is primarily bubblegum and citrus with a slight floral spiciness and some caramel mid-sip. It finishes clean and dry with a resin-like quality and a mellow aftertaste that combines a light, sweet citrus with a light pine, maybe floral / grass, note that has an average staying power.

355 ml fra Vinmonopolet. Fyldig ravfarve med hvitt godt skum. Aroma av tropiske frukter. Veldig fruktig smak med med middels bitterhet og litt sødme. God ettersmak. (Munkegata, 08.05.13)

Pours a light golden with plenty of carbonation and a large white foamy head. Brew smell reminds me of incense sticks, hops and some lighter fruits or flowers. Medium body the hops and carbonation bounce around on the palate. Floural hops and the taste of orange balance pretty well with a bread like malt and a dry finish. Neither malt or hops are too strong, not a weak beer but too expensive.
