COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Pours pale golden with a clear head. plenty of bubbles with a lovely sweet aroma of exotic fruits. Taste is pure hops, plenty of dry bitterness, and not at all sweet. long bitter finish tops things off. not massive depth of flavour, just loads of mad hoppyness! quite liked this one..

On tap. Aroma of fresh hops. A really hoppy, in the citrusy and grassy way, IPA. Maybe not very well balanced, but since i really enjoy hoppy beers, this one really rocks my socks. Some malt in the finish but otherwise, its a little off balance.

I’ll be honest. I have always been a big fan of Goose Island. They may not be considered one of the best micros in America, but I believe that their beers are all extremely well-crafted and very true-to-style. Of the many IPA’s Iv’e tried, this one has long been one of my favorites for it’s high drinkability and awesome balance. It pours a neat, appetizing rustic orange color with a medium to small head that quickly dissipates into nothing. The aroma is fresh and curious; full of orange marmalade, citrus, spruce and pine. The beer screams "Drink Me!" from the first sniff. It has the utmost hint of toasted malt and a fuzzy, charming tongue-tingling mouthfeel, shining before the bitter, drying, ultra-appetizing finish. The taste is blustery, spicy and peppery and has a whole lot of orange peel, citrus zest, chives, and a woodsy, minty, coppery palate. I love to pair this beer with some aged swiss, cream havarti, or smoked gouda. It is, in a word "stupendous." The finish is very long, leaving a pleasant, lingering orange-flower taste on the tongue.

355 ml fra Vinmonopolet. Fyldig ravfarve med hvitt godt skum. Aroma av tropiske frukter. Veldig fruktig smak med med middels bitterhet og litt sødme. God ettersmak. (Munkegata, 08.05.13)

My favorite out of the bottle although tasted at Clyborn Brewpub. Goilden with a heavy white head. English malt is very pronounced and nicely paired with american hops (goldings and centenials perhaps). Fairly bitter with a floral and pine nose. I like this IPA

pretty solid ipa, very clean and refreshing taste. Still has a nice hop taste while not being overly strong. Not the best IPA but I’d have it again.

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2006 355ml bottle. Smells like sweet, Pine needles. My first IPA. Full and rich flavor. Soapy in the middle. Tastes like someone swept up after one took out the Christmas tree and made it into a beer...Slight banana taste also. Chill down a little and it is really quite nice.

Bottle, into tulip. Pours amber with a white head. Great lacing. Smells of oranges and resin, sort of reminds me of a furniture shop. Tastes slightly sweet on the way in, with a resounding dry, bitter finish that leaves you licking your teeth.

YET ANOTHER IPA IN A SEA OF IPA’S AND THIS ONE JUST DOESN’T CUT IT VASTLY OVERRATED. SLIGHTLY BITTER HOPS ARE PRESENT YET THE FLAVORS ARE SLIGHTLY OFF NOT DONE WELL ENOUGH FOR MY PREFERENCE, IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE OF THIS OR ANOTHER IPA GO THE OTHER, YET IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE OF THIS AND A LIGHT PILSNER THIS WILL DO. VERY SLIGHTLY ABOVE AVERAGE BEER FOR A MACRO BREW YET VERY BELOW AVERAGE IPA.

a good but not great ipa - a little bit of sourness and that chalkiness you get really bad in porters - but nice hoppiness - could be sweeter, but probably not unless it was also hoppier and more alcoholic - I think I just like my ipas a bit more bigger in every way.
