COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Really fruity aroma, realized afterwards that was exactly what was advertised on their label. Fruity with maybe a hint of raspberry but still unsure. A down to earth bitterness.

Helder oranje-geel bier. Geuren van hop, mout, bloemen. Smaken van hop, licht bitter, grassige nasmaak. Lekkere frisse IPA, niet heel uitgesproken van smaak, goede introductie hoe een IPA smaakt als je dit soort bier niet kent.

bottle. Pours a clear golden orange color, nice inch of thick off white head that lasts well and leaves plenty of lace. Good looking brew. Nose shows plenty of spicy and earthy, floral hops, some smooth biscuity malt. Good aroma, if slightly muted. Flavor starts with a clean, crisp punch of spicy bitterness, moves into some light floral notes, bits of clean citrus. Clean, dry malt backbone. More light bitterness on the finish. Palate is crisp and clean, medium carbonation, with a lightly bitter finish. Overall a very good IPA with a somewhat unique hop profile.

This one is so common to my area that I think it often gets overlooked. Goose Island brews a damn fine IPA. It may not get the attention of a stone of Dogfish Head, and this may be justified, but, it is very close to the elite IPAs and it is relatively inexpensive and always available. It pours amber and pretty clear, has good hop aroma, and very good flavor, and a very good dry finish. Overall-very solid, a GREAT session beer!

A favorite IPA. Not quite as robust as some but excellent nonetheless. More on the order of Alpha King than Two Hearted, say. Consistently great, nicely balanced.

Slightly hazy golden yellow body. Quickly diminshing white head with no lacing.
Hops dominate the aroma but there's also an underlying sour malt aroma too.
Lots of hops with a nice hint of malt. Sweet with a lingering bitterness. Simple.
Medium-bodied with a crisp finish.

This offering from Goose Island pours a foggy dirty blonde that leaves a thick frothy tan head that leaves a sticky residue that stays with this head. The aroma is honey, hops citrus, earthy west coast feel to this IPA. The taste actually starts malty sweet, folllowed by healthy dose of bitterness as not to forget this is a IPA. This IPA continues to take your palate on a herbal, honey, tea, ride and the finish is very nice. This is a quality IPA if it were distributed around here I would have this in my fridge all year.

Pours an average frothy white head that slowly diminishes. Body is clear yellow orange, sparkles are visible. Aroma contains light malts (cookie, dark bread, straw), fairly strong hops (flowers, resin, grapefruit, lemon, orange zest,), moderate yeasts (soap, earth) and apple, forest fruits, cherry, pineapple and spices. Flavor is light acidic, then light acidic and light sweet, followed by light bitter and light acidic and finishing in bitter. Body is medium with creamy texture and soft carbonation. A nice IPA loaded with hoppy fruits and backed up by enough malts. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2014 35.5cl bottle, poured into a tulip glass. Lovely golden orange, with a good head. Citrus, pine, nice hop taste and aroma. Light caramel. Lovely bitterness. A smooth IPA.
