COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop loverís dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one youíll remember.

Bottle. Nothing particularly wrong with this. Definitely a great entry level IPA if you're trying to ease a newcomer into the style, but not all that impressive otherwise.

Definitely a solid IPA. Smells quite floral and citrussy, as expected. Good hop aromas while pouring, with a nice sized head with good lacing. Taste is pretty crisp and clean, not too complex, but just enough malt to balance the choice hops. The spice is noticable, cant put my finger on it though. Nice refreshing finish, not bitter enough though. This beer needs a little more ABV, and a little more IBUís and it would be superb

12 oz bottle. Pours a nice goldenrod color, nice pearly head with good lacing. Aroma is a bitter hops, some spices. Flavor is hoppy, and ends on a musty note with currants. All in all it’s an okay IPA, not quite enough flavor for me, however.

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2014 355ml bottle. Cloudy orange colour with a lovely smooth white head. Strong floral, fruity hop aroma. The flavour has a lot of fruity sweetness, maybe some orange but with a nice bitter IPA finish. Lots of hops with a spicy quality and by no means overly bitter. Re-rated down as not as good as last time I drank it.

Pours a bright, gleaming orange color, with a big, creamy head that clings to the glass. The aroma isnít overly skewed to the hoppy characteristics, with notes of citrus peel and pine contrasting against light bready malts. The flavor is a bit dull and earthy, although there is some bright pine character and a light bready sweetness at its base. The light, fine carbonation is nice, but there isnít as much lingering bitterness as I expected. Overall, this is a solid but unremarkable IPA that I will gladly drink up but wonít seek out.

Nice sweet citrus aroma, but it dissipates quickly and turns a little oniony as it warms. A slightly astringent burnt carmel flavor is soon swallowed up by a more astringent bitterness. Itís not bad, certainly drinkable, and better than most mass market beers. But itís not nearly balanced or any real "hop loverís dream." There are so many more tasty choices out there; why bother?

Bottle. Average head that was off white and fizzy. Light citrus aroma on the nose, with a medium hop taste. Overall, a well balanced beer that would serve as a good introductory ipa beer to those who are afraid of hops.

pretty good ipa. although as it warmed it lost some of its kick. i think i prefer sierra nevada although not technically an IPA.

Firm hops aroma. Pretty light golden amber. Smooth for an IPA. Relies on the hops without a disctinct citrus flavor. Thought that it might have a little more kick for an IPA. But looking at it overall as a pale ale, it is very good.

A decent enough IPA. Plenty of malt, quite pared down on the hops. Really something of a session ale, despite knocking over 5%. Easy drinking, clean finish.
