COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Bottle... Clear golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. Excellent retention. The nose is very much like that of instant Lipton® iced tea with lemon. Medium toffee sweetness followed by moderate citrus peel bitterness. Medium-bodied with a 2%-milk mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Bitter-sweet and then astringent, drying finish. Kudos to Gillard for sharing the bottle!

Bottle @ home. Pours a clear, yellow golden appearance with an off white head. Sweet grapefruit, orange citrusy, soft aroma. Somewhat bitter, grapefruity, orange creamy, herbal, a touch floral flavor. Again, not hard to drink but kind of lacks inspiration.

I’m not always a big fan of IPAs, but I could’t find much wrong with this. Great hops ratio and better coloring than your typical IPA. This and Samuel Smith’s are both IPAs that kind of transcend the norm.

Bottle. Pours a clear, light amber with a towering, tan head that has good retention and lacing. Aroma is buttery biscuit, some lemon, light citrus, tropical fruits. Taste is similar with lots of bready malt, lemon, fruits. Not very bitter. Buttery, rich on the palate. Not bad but fairly mediocre. A lovely session beer, but I would put this more as an amber ale than an IPA. But maybe this is just what a normal IPA is like rather than a enormous hop-bomb. I would perhaps use this as a starter beer for those just getting into the craft beer scene.

Bottle of 355 ml from Vinmonopolet, Norway. Pale brown. Thin head. Dominated by hops all the way through. Hoppy aroma, hoppy flavour and hoppy aftertaste - and I like it.

12 oz. bottle, pours hazy golden with a small white head. Great aroma of grapefruit, citrus and piney hops, and caramel malt. The flavour reveals an intense fruitiness, of mango, peach, grapefruit and orange, with pungent citrusy hops and just enough malt backing. Very well made.
