COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

A little disappointing in the hop department. Has a slightly bitter nose, very biting. The malt is apparent in the aroma. Nice amber coloring, slightly hazy. Flavor is nice and balanced, which is nice for most, though I prefer more hop profile, hence my disappointment. Smooth finish, with a touch of fruit (citrus) at the end. Overall, not my preferred IPA, but I wouldn’t turn it down.

Bottle. Pours a hazy reddish copper, rocky head. Woody and mild spicy hop nose, mild alcohol. Pleasant toffee and resin hop start to the beer and finishes dry with a spicy lingering hop flavor. Some metallic notes in the finish. Medium body, Medium driankability. "Second 6er on the cincy trip."

Older bottle. Pours golden with a thin white head. Decent hop aroma, floral, citrus and soapy with a good malt background. Taste is more malty than I would’ve thought, decent floral/citrus hop taste, but not enough for my taste. Some nice caramel notes in the finish. Medium body, a little carbonation.

Slightly hazy orange golden with white head. The aroma is a bit spicy, with citrus hops predominating. The aroma suggests bitter spicyness, yet it’s somewhat sweet for an IPA. Honeyish malt backbone with a subtle orangey light hop finish. Nice IPA, yet the bitterness is very low and the sweetness may be almost too much considering it’s low dryness. But it’s still a nice IPA.

12 oz bottle at Kyle’s "This Is Not A Beer Tasting" beer tasting. Clear gold with a small white head. Grapefruit nose, some pine. Flavor is cirtus rind, nicely bitter. Good.

Nice sweet hoppy aroma. Pours golden yellow with a small white head that disappears quickly. No noticeable carbonation. Medium sweet hop induced frutyness. Little froth, almost flat mouth feel. Flavor stays with you all way to the bottom of the glass. This is a full flavor beer that is not overpowering. For my money, and I didn’t pay much, This is a decent ale.

33 cl bottle, Fargo. Hazy light amber colour, lots of nice hop aroma. Good level of carbonation, nice bitterness that lasts long into the finish.

Approximately 4 oz. sample from a 12 oz. bottle at an American IPA tasting hosted by tennisjoel. This was the second of ten beers that we tried. Light aroma, sweet and malty by the standards of the style, but still primarily hoppy. Pours a brass color with a small amount of beige head. Hazy with fine suspended particulate. A beer novice in the tasting group was complaining about the lack of clarity in the liquid, but I have no problem whatsoever with a little sedimentary opacity. Subtle flavors. Well balanced between the hops and malt, but is an IPA really the right style for balance? Light on hops by the IPA standard, but a floral hops flavor is evident nonetheless. Light bodied and drinkable. This is a subtle, easy drinking beer, suitable for sessioning (although, at 5.9% abv, it is too high in alcohol content to count as a true session brew). The sum is better than the parts. This beer shouldn’t blow anyone away, but it certainly is a welcome refresher. This ranked sixth on my list out of the ten IPAs in the tasting.
