Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop loverís dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one youíll remember.

(draft) Clear, pale golden body with a medium white head. Nice citrus hop aroma, some sweetness; grapefruit, peach. Light to medium body, a bit oily texture. Bright, refreshing citrus and pine hips. Only a hint of sweetness underneath.

Pours to a golden color and decent head/lacing. Smells piney but tastes much more smooth than that - good hops kick, yet balanced, with a lemony after-flavor I havenít noticed much in other IPAs. Malts figure in the finish as well. Quite refreshing.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet. Shows a deep golden color, pretty much like a typical pale/blonde ale. Clear. Fruity, apricots on the nose. Soft, lovely spicy hop aroma. Taking a decent sip, it tastes biscuity at first. Lovely hops shows up, but not much citrus, more spicy/earty/grassy-like. Soft and a moderately sweet malts settles together with peaches in the middle. Not the most bitter, neither the driest IPA Iíve had, but the beer is still fully giving and balanced for the style. The biscuit-malty - spice-hoppy marriage works very well and the fruitiness is not appearing entirely within the typical american IPA hop fruitiness-frame. I guess it has something to do with the use of mostly english-origin hops, and that a certain amout of the fruitiness in this beer may be yeast-derived (though I donít know which yeast they use). Not typically IPA-bitter in the finish either, actually a bit sweet. Still, more than a pale ale. Good.

On tap at Citi Field. Clear reddish brown pour. Simple white head. Light hop taste, citrus, good carbonation and a lower alcohol content make for an enjoyable IPA.

Bottle from Sainsburys. Bright orange colour with thick tight head, produced splendid lacing, looked exceptional. Quite mild in flavour as American IPAs go, an almost creamy malt and pine hop flavour. Well balanced and drinkable, rather than an assault on tastebuds. Pleasant.
