COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

This is a great IPA. Very drinkable. Also appreciate the fact that this one is lightly dry malted, making it crisper than other IPAs. Abv is not quite in the 7 range or higher. And due to alcohol levels can result in being on the sweeter side, and this one isn’t . Cheers!

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2015 Hipster alert! Goose Island India Pale Ale was a great IPA years before great IPA’s were cool. This beer was one of the few great templates that other brewers now follow and look to as an example of the style. Today, its taste - complete with citrus and aggressive bitterness - is common. Truth be told, the steep prevalence of bold, innovative IPA’s makes this ale seem a little dated by modern standards. Still, there’s always room for a classic.

Delicious brew. Pour is a nice light amber with a thin white head. Hoppy flavor and a nice Aroma.

I normally prefer dark beer and was never much of a fan of IPA’s. Had this by chance. Very surprised and pleased. This will definitely be part of my Xmas cheer.

Bitter orange, grass, layers of manly florals and perfect for winter. Its a bitter chocolate orange beer and it is insanely luscious and delightful. I get em in for Christmas to keep it special. Its a quality IPA, typically American, typically bitter, sweetness. Could be the king of IPAs. Seasons greetings hop nerds!

The aroma is citrus with hints of spruce. The color is pale golden and clear with a light head. The taste is medium bitter. This beer is medium bodied with a slick texture. The carbonation is average. The finish is somewhat long. Overall this is a very tame yet uniquely balanced ipa. Good Job goose Island!

A well balanced hop flavor with good nose and head. A IPA that can be had all night. Decent head and nice lacing make this a fine IPA.

Copper-orange color. Citrus and fruity aroma. Little bitter and malty. Slightly weak character as IPA, but I like this taste. One of my best beer!!

Lovely stuff. Clear copper. Huge, puffy white head. Nice nose, lots of orange and citrus, sweet malts as well. Good flavor, hops are quite noticeable without being overpowering, tart and citric, but beautifully balanced stuff, lots of caramel and butterscotch. Creamy as well. Leaves a nice floral aftertaste. Really good stuff.

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2007 I love beers like this. Aroma is grapefruit and gooseberry out its nut. Taste is similarly full of citrus flavours with sweetness coming off the malts, not a big bold chewy body, but a good sweetness, to make it one of the most drinkable beers iv had in a month or two. Get me a case of this so i can have a few days off.
