COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Very tasty IPA. Full hop flavour without being over powering and plenty malty goodness to balance the bitterness.

Pours a dark gold/amber with a puffy white head. Aroma is pine, grass and citrus. Taste is pine, lemon, oranges, grass, A nice malt backbone - maybe some very light caramel there. Finishes with a lingering bitterness, with a slight sweet end. Thick mouthfeel, almost oily to me. Average carbonation. Leaves white lacings on the glass as it goes down. Very, very good.

This IPA is one of the most delicious and balanced I’ve ever tried. Right when you open it and pour, it welcomes you graciously to the party it has in store. It has a wonderful golden color with a burst of bubbles and a light, hoppy head that kicks things off nicely. There is no bitter burst of hops here, just a gentle, somewhat bubbly smoothness. The beer itself is very sweet and creamy, and reminded me somewhat of Three Floyd’s Gumball head with its hints of candy. There is a distinct presence of malt which balances out the hops perfectly, meaning that every sip you take a delightful and balanced. More of a malty IPA with a note of hops than vice versa, which is how most IPAs are. This is perhaps the easiest drinking IPA I’ve ever enjoyed. Perfect representation of the city of Chicago.

Smell of hops, pine and mild spices. Beautiful light copper. Hops are well balanced with a nice fruit and spice mix. Outstanding.

35,5cl bottle - Simply superb is selling Goose Island IPA short... by quite a mile! The aroma is spectacular, comparing strongly with Meantime or Brewdog IPA. Beautiful amber with only a very slight bubble, small forthy white head. One of the best IPA’s out on the market.

Bottle, at O’Hare brewery pub. Wonderful aroma of sweet grapes, pine, grapefruit and passionfruit. The beer pours light copper, just too translucent, with a beautiful creamy white head. The flavour includes all that fruit basket mentioned above - with that pine resin sticking to the palate - over a honey/malt/biscuit base. Very well-balanced, this is a beer to have at home. I am thrilled that NZ suppliers of craft beer have this one on stock now. Although it has been criticised, I love the presentation/label. The naivity of that near nursery rhymes goose is brilliant, when the original name for the river island was likely based on Canada Geese.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours golden with a white head. Taste citrus, sweet, pine. I thought was pretty good. I would definitely drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
