COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Poured a clear yellow gold color with a small white head. big and sweet aroma with candy, sugar and hops. Hops were citrus and floral. Fruity notes show as well. Hoppy flavor and sweet caramel malt. Moderate bitterness with a dry finish. Medium bodied.

Light glowing orange body. Massive off-white head, solid lacing. Fruity hops , orange, a bit of cotton candy and bubble gum, lightly floral toward the back end. Similar flavor with a nice light refreshing fruity hop bitterness. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, pleasant and refreshing.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a dark gold with about a finger of white head. Aroma of some citrus hops and caramel malt. Taste is light bitter. Medium bodied with a somewhat slick texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, not bad. There are better IPAs out there but there are also a lot worse.

A decent IPA from Chicago’s only macrobrewery (despite their advertising) 12 oz bottle pours a clear amber color with a small white head. Smells mostly of piney hops. Aroma also has floral hops and caramel. Tastest Sweet at first with a clean, bitter finish. Medium body and carbonation. Definitely better than Budweiser, but nowhere near the greats in the crowded IPA field.

Bottle. Golden. Slightly hazy with a decent white head. Light but enticing aroma of grassy, citrus hops. Flavour is restrained but totally pleasant. Nice and hoppy with some caramel and a bitter end. A very nice entry-level American IPA.

This was purchased at The Caboose in Ashland. Honkers is the signature beer for Goose Island. This IPA is a nice addition to thier mix of beers. The color is a golden ale with a smallish head and lacing down the glass. It is not overly bitter to taste and really a mild IPA. It is pleasant to drink with a smooth finish.

I was so surprised when I had this beer. It has little to no head, looks very cloudy. But wow is it smooth! Not super bitter or super hoppy. Would definitely buy again! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Probably the best beer at Yankee Stadium. Eclectic mix of bittering UK hops which stand out in the palatte and flavorful American hops. My wife disagree that this is a English style IPA as she is English. But the yeast character gives it this rather dry finish among the bitterness and I wish the citrus component was more prevalent. More of a hybrid to me and a nice IPA.

YET ANOTHER IPA IN A SEA OF IPA’S AND THIS ONE JUST DOESN’T CUT IT VASTLY OVERRATED. SLIGHTLY BITTER HOPS ARE PRESENT YET THE FLAVORS ARE SLIGHTLY OFF NOT DONE WELL ENOUGH FOR MY PREFERENCE, IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE OF THIS OR ANOTHER IPA GO THE OTHER, YET IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE OF THIS AND A LIGHT PILSNER THIS WILL DO. VERY SLIGHTLY ABOVE AVERAGE BEER FOR A MACRO BREW YET VERY BELOW AVERAGE IPA.

Orange gold pour. Fresh citrusy hop aroma with light caramel notes. Flavor is fresh spruce hops, quite bitter. Prickly dry.
