Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

The aroma is not pronounced as many of its fellow IPA’s tend to have, but it does have a bit of resiny hops, floral esters, and some alcohol and very faint caramel. The appearance is a clean yellow-caramel with a thin white head, that creates a nice lacing down the glass. The taste is a nice balance of caramel, bread, resiny hops, and some alcohol. The palate for an IPA is super smooth. It maintains a medium body, with a thin, semi-oily texture, with a bit of a fizzy carbonation, and a long minor burn from the hops. It is a very good brew, could easily become my favorite "session" IPA. The major disappointment is that it’s not available in our state. Hopefully, that changes.

A mild cereal smell that has a cloudy amber and orange color. The taste has a medium bitterness medium, creamy type of taste which actually very enjoyable. It reminds me of old times, as strange as that may sound, it does. Be good with a roast of some kind or just enjoyed on a cold day. Recommend.

A decent enough IPA. Plenty of malt, quite pared down on the hops. Really something of a session ale, despite knocking over 5%. Easy drinking, clean finish.

A nice well-rounded IPA with no weaknesses but nothing that really stands out either. Aromatic but not too flowery. Flavorful but not too bitter.

Bottle from Waitrose. Amber colour. Nicely balanced. It's got a good body and slightly sweet with a very dry finish. A dependable ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
