COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Pours amber in colour, clear with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Strong citrus hops and grapefruit aroma with noticeable pine scents as well. Mildly sweet with a reasonable bitterness through to the finish. Medium bodied, good carbonation, and a nice smooth feel on the palate. Strong IPA, an enjoyable brew.

A golden color with a white head. Aroma contains some pine, oranges, and lemons. The flavor is slightly bitter with some oranges, lemons, and tropical fruit notes. Aftertaste is bitter. Overall a nice session beer.

During a time when IIPAs and IIIPAs are becoming more and more the norm rather than the exception, it is nice to see a beer that stays true to the English IPA style. Pours a very light copper, somewhat brilliant with golden highlights, good head with decent retention and fine lacing. There’s a distinct fruitiness that jumps out in the aroma which is slightly floral with a very light dose of citrus. There’s also a slight ester from the malt that comes across as biscuit and light tobacco. It tastes lightly sweet which quickly dissipates into a moderately dry finish. Very satisfying and drinkable. They’ve kept the body light enough to enjoy more than one pint. There’s a chewy malt and fruity yeast characteristic which is unmistakably English. A beautiful beer and a classic example of the style.

Draft in NYC. Very nice, classic medium IPA. Certainly on the maltier side but quite nicely balanced. Rich hops, some freshness. Would drink this any time.

Bottle: golden with a medium-sized white head pour. Aroma is caramel with some piney hops. Flavor is sweet caramel running into a bitter pine resin. Ok flavor but gets a little plastic-like with the hops; there are much better ipa out there.
