Sampler flight on tap at Goose Island Clybourn (Chicago, IL). Pours a straw yellow hue, gentle haze, light carbonation in the body. A big cakey bright white head laces well. Golden sunshine glow. Aromas offer gentle straw, apple, flaked hweat. Gentle dough, dry earthy florals and grass. A gentle spice, apple estery fruit. Initial is gentle body, lighter with a touch of body into the middle, some bland bread malts, straw, and grass. Hay, apple, wet dough, gentle sweetness. Middle a bit more bland sweetness. Touch of tartness, apple linger into the backend. Touch of earth, gentle spice into finish. Simple, apple driven, a touch tart. Mellow earthy and touch of lemon hop come into play at times. Meh. Hops grow as I settle in and show a bit more into the middle.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 NobleSquirrel (3336) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 13, 2012
Draft at Clybourn. Pours a quite clear pale gold with a sticky white head. The nose is quite herbal, hints of citrus and spicy noble hopping. Some subtle wheat comes across. On tasting, it is firmly bitter and a touch spicy, good malt profile with wheat noted. Clean and crisp, a nice drinker though more of a summer beer, imo.
