Fermented with wild yeasts and aged in cabernet barrels with blackberries, Juliet is a tart, fruity, complex ale. Notes of wood, tannin, dark fruit and spice make Juliet an ideal beer to suggest to Pinot Noir enthusiasts and beer drinkers who are fond of Belgian sour ales.

Flavour is acidic wood, some sour fruits, tart berries as well as some slight maltyness and spices as well. A rather wellbalanced and pleasant brew.

Batch 1. Pours an amber red orange with almost no head. A nice fruity nose: tropical fruit, orange citrus, lemon, and all around fruity. Tart acidic fruit flavors lots of acidic fruit especially cherries with some wood bringing in another layer. Good stuff. 8/3/8/4/15

Pours a rusty, cloudy red with a thin, but stubborn ring of white bubbles. Smells of vinegarm=, some sugar, oaky, spicy. Tastes tart and slightly lactic with some acidic dryness, berry notes, dry, and lemony on the finish.

Bottle courtesy of decoman from TBS. Bottled 8/14/09. Pours a cloudy, essentially opaque reddish-brown. Very red, almost pink. Very bubbly, tons of tiny bubbles in the head. Taste is very fruity...raspberry, cherry. Not as sour as I was expecting - a very drinkable sour. Girlfriend liked it too.

Bottle shared at the 4th release of CDC. Poured an orange/lavender body with a foamy super light pink head. Aroma is sour and funky with notes of raspberries and dandelions along with a touch of brett. The body had some seriously strong carbonation and a thinner watery feel. The flavor is the same as the aroma, fruity and funky. Really well done.

I made sure this one was ice cold to avoid gushing and opened it over the sink just in case. No beer lost, but it did foam up quite aggressively. A: The pour is a cloudy pink-orange color with a very fluffy head that is mostly white but perhaps has a pinkish hue to it. S: Quite a bit of fruitiness to the nose. Raspberries and strawberries seem to be the most noticeable, along with a hint of lemon and grapes. A fair amount of oak to this one as well. T: Surprisingly vinous in terms of the flavor. Lots of oak, red grapes, raspberries, and blackberries. The sourness is not as intense as other wilds, but the tartness is nice. M: The body is medium and the carbonation is very plentiful, perhaps too much so at first. But as the beer calms down from its initial gushing, it is more pleasant. D: A pretty easy to drink wild ale. Not overly sour, but good fruit character and a nice bit of oak to it. Glad to have another bottle.

22oz bomber poured into a snifter glass. Pours reddish in color with a pinkish white head, lovely display of carbonation.Aroma of brett, barn, and fruits. Mouth feel is crisp, velvety, with lots of carbonation. Taste is delicious, 6.7% very well hidden. Tart and sour yet no overwhelmingly sour, great balance, some fruitiness. One of goose islands finest.
