COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fermented with wild yeasts and aged in cabernet barrels with blackberries, Juliet is a tart, fruity, complex ale. Notes of wood, tannin, dark fruit and spice make Juliet an ideal beer to suggest to Pinot Noir enthusiasts and beer drinkers who are fond of Belgian sour ales.

Scopey (11790) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 25, 2012
2012 bottle from Deeside Drinks Emporium. It pours hazy deep red with a small fizzy white head. The nose is wood, vanilla, almond, coconut, tart berry, lemon, vinegar and red grape. The taste is tart berry, lemon, wood, red grape, strawberry, rhubarb, light vinegar and moderate acidity with dry, tart finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Flavoursome and well balanced. Not the most complex fruit sour, but enjoyable nonetheless.

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2012 22 oz. bomber. 2009 Vintage. Bottles Aug 14. It opens with a gush. It pours into my oversized wine glass a vibrant red magenta with a huge rosy pink head. It sticks for a long assed time and leaves some good lacing. The blackberries make this one look stunning. It has a decently funky smell. There are vinegar notes and a smidge of funkiness. It is more sour than funky smelling. There is a huge oak presence in the smell as well. The blackberries also make an appearance in the scent. This is an amazing smelling beer though the oak is ever so slightly overpowering and it clashes a slight bit with the blackberry. The taste is a lot like the flavor. It is sour but not overly sour. The oak is once again prevalent in the taste and it is a bit overpowering to go along with the sour blackberry. The mouthfeel is a bit over carbonated but refreshing. It has a very dry finish. Overall a great sour beer from Goose Island, though a bit pricey. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 05-16-2010 03:25:32 Had another bottle and it was fresher and even better. By far the most complex of the three sisters.

Bottle shared by Adamn...thanks so much! Reddish/orange pour wtih a a light head. Tons of fruit up front with funky tartness and earth tones. Vinous notes are evident in the nose and on the tongue. Fruity but sour. But not crazy sour. Dry and rather good. Thanks adam!

My birthday treat from Peensteen, and it did not disapoint. Great pink foamy look, great aromas of berries, cherry, raspberry. Large retained head. Well malted sour that enticed the palate. Tart, berry, great drinkability.
