COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fermented with wild yeasts and aged in cabernet barrels with blackberries, Juliet is a tart, fruity, complex ale. Notes of wood, tannin, dark fruit and spice make Juliet an ideal beer to suggest to Pinot Noir enthusiasts and beer drinkers who are fond of Belgian sour ales.

Bottle pours out pink-red-amber color with a big (almost too much) whiteish head. Aroma was some fruit and a iittle tart. Taste is some berry and a little rye, but great sour/tart finish.

Bottle at home with the wife. Nose is big wine barrel notes, red fruits, blackberries, wood, vanilla, funk. Pour is nice - a hazy reddish purple color. Flavor is lightly spicy with notes of grapes and blackberries. Not overly tart but definitely has a kick to it. Decent.

On draught at Belmont Station. Reddish golden color. Aroma is cherry, berry, tart funky yeast, light vinegar, white wine, and oak. Taste is sweet and sour cherries and blackberries, pungently tart yeast, white wine, and wood. Gary tickle in the mouthfeel, really balanced sour fruit and yeast finish.

22oz bottle (2010 vintage) pours clear dark violet red with small fading fizzy head. Nose is musty tart acidic blackberry and funky barn oak, a touch acetic. Taste is tart semi sweet juicy blackberry, grape juice, touch of syrup, wood, subtle wine. Finish is semi sweet tart fruity blackberry and mixed berry juice, paired with dry old wood, and they play nicely off each other. Holding up very well for a bottle this old!

Pours a deep copper with no head. Not much aroma. Initial tartness is balanced by the sweetness of blackberries. Finishes with a dry bite that is neither unpleasant nor overpowering. I’m not a big sour fan, but this beer is outstanding.

On tap at Whole Foods. The pour is a brilliant ruby-ish orange with a quick fading head and no lace to be found. The aroma is also quite good. It's got a great fruitiness to it with just an awesome funky sourness. There is also a light booziness which I like. The fruits are both sweet and tart, and just lovely. The flavor is definitely sour, with a nice fruitiness backing it up. There is a good overall tart sourness and I just love it. The mouth feel is a little thin, not very carbonated, but decent. The aftertaste is nicely sour and fruity and delicious ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle thanks to myknewcraft, thanks a lot! 2012 vintage. Pours a hazy (murky, even) copper with a small white head that leaves light lacing. Nose is of acetic acid, lightly fruity. Taste is not quite bracingly acid but still pack quite a lot of vinegar along with some unindentified fruits (not blackberries). No signs of the wine barrels except if said barrels were of somewhat cheap wine. Body is medium, carbonation low to medium. It feels somewhat winey, but the acetic presence kills it a little. Not bad, drinkable, but not a top tier sour. Sorry.

03.07.2014, 0,75l bottle (2013 vintage) @ home:
Tiny fizzy shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet sour-ish, oak, caramel malts, mild vinegar, old fallen apples, dried fruits, butterscotch, thinner, sorrel, old moldy cellar, sour berries. Taste is slightly dry and acidic sour, oak, soda powder, sour unripe berries, sorrel, vinegar, green apples, caramel malts, lemon, old cellar, butterscotch. Medium bitterness, nice dry slightly spicy acidic mouthfeel. Very nice.

bottle (750ml): Cloudy, light copper red. No head or lace. Funky, sour red fruit, slightly lactic. Fresh but feral though not to the level of spoilage. No VA. Brett and lactic. Very dry and sour. Low bitterness. Warm, especially with chili, long, balanced along with an even texture. Complexed, very refreshing and balanced with any massice spoilage dominating. Lovely beer.
