Lolita is a pink rose colored Belgian style pale ale fermented with wild yeast and aged on raspberries in wine barrels. Aromas of fresh raspberries, bright jammy fruit flavors and crisp, refreshing body make Lolita ideal for beer drinkers fond of Belgian Framboise.

Pours a clear ruby with minimal head and little lacing. Aroma of raspberry, strawberry, white grape. Mild hint of herbal hoppy flavor. Moderately sweet and very tart. Medium tart finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly chewy mouthfeel. This is a good sour ale, puckery. Not my bag, but I would say well done given what it is.

Nice light red with touches of golden color gave it a nice bright appearence. tart grape skins, cherries and loads of funk, some light spiciness and a decent touch of oak. lots of dark fruit, tart funkiness and a nice earthy, woodsy like smell blending together very nicely on this one. Silk like smoothness, and the finest carbonation bubbles, really well done in that regard. ;ots of sour in here right up front with frapes and light lemon like citrus taking over. Rolling through some nice notes of cherry then came over me. Decent funkiness in through the middle and the finish

Bottle at The Fruit Sour Tasting, London - cheers to Jack for letting loose this Goose. Pours bright pink, lightly hazy with a light, frothy white head. Tangy raspberries on the nose. Big tangy in the flavor, dry and bitter fruit skins, some underripe and tart raspberry, light to medium sweetness. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light warmth in the finish, tart, fairly bitter, some dry berries. Pretty darn nice.

2010 bottle @ THE fruit sours tasting. The pour’s deep red with a tiny white head. The nose is red berry, jam, honey and plenty of lactic funk. The taste is super tart acidic brashness. This is balanced off by berry and vinous red grape. Very sour and tart. Slightly harsh finish. Medium body, challenging. Overall, time has really ramped the tartness up in this beer. I liked it, but doing a bomber by myself would be a big ask...

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours reddish brown with a tiny disappearing head and a slightly sour fruity aroma. There is a subtly sour fruity flavor that belies the Belgian ale base. The raspberries have facilitated the barrel aging process, resulting in a subdued but interesting flavor. Very nice.

Bottle thanks to Jack at THE fruit sour tasting. It pours red with a tiny white head. The nose is raspberry, wood, light jam, yoghurt, subtle spice and hint of sulphur. The taste is juicy raspberry, jammy, sticky fruit, acidity, oak, earth and raspberry seed with a tart finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Fairly acidic, but rather enjoyable is small measures.

Dated bottled 11/12/11 so this was bottled a year ago. Pour has a red orange color and a thin coating of white head. Aroma has raspberry, oak, light tartness, and some wine grapes. Mouth feel is light and there is medium carbonation that somewhat fell off with the fizzy pour. Flavor brings on the sour side, seedy tart raspberry, light wine grapes, some oak, yeasty pokes, and a hit of sweetness on the finish. I was afraid this could be a sweet berry mess but it is well done and has a nice play of tart and dry with sweet contrast.

Sampled at 10/13/2012 at GABF. This sour/wild ale pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, sweet, tart and raspberry. A medium to lighter bodied wild/sour ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy. Nice fresh tart raspberry flavors. A touch of wood. Nice carbonation. Very nice beer. Like the fruit, tart and malt interaction. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly tart.
