COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You might think this is a Russian style girly beer (a little Nabokov for you), but instead it is a very sophisticated Raspberry Belgian Ale. Fermented with brettanomyces (the little guys who give us that tart zing) and fresh raspberries, this brew is bright yet deep with spices and edges of the fruits natural tart quality to give it a white wine kind of finish.

Shared with Zachary, pours a burt orange reddish amber color with no head. Nose is tart and sour and fruity with the raspberries easily identified, and some sweetness in the background. Taste is sour and tart, fruity and well balanced. Finish is sour and tart as well with a fruity moderately long ending. Quaff Score 8 / 10

Bomber. Pours an amber red with a dissipating head and tart strong raspberry aroma. Taste is tart and sour, lots of raspberry, berry fruits, brett, funk, and spices with a sweet, tart, raspberry finish.

Pinkish color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of raspberries, wood, some wild yeast and bacteria. Taste of much of the same, light acidity, lots of raspberries, and a tart finish.

Good and sour nose. Tastes of old books and good and soured red malt. Deep red amber color with a clarity. Tiny bubble white ring on top. Tart finish. Perception of strength on the palate.

Tart, fruity aroma--with an earthy aroma pretty typical of sour ales. Flavor is sour with a cherry, almost raspberry-like fruitiness. Earthy flavor, and a little malt sweetness, with subtle caramel in the aftertaste.

Pours a pink orange color with a modest white foamy head. Aroma has a pronounced raspberry nose with a lot of tart sourness and a mild amount of wine notes to finish. Flavor is very tart with a smooth raspberry flavor to help mellow it out. Light phenol notes late in the tasting add a little spicy note. Body is modest with a good amount of fizz. Overall a pretty good brew. Sourness was a good amount but a whole bottle to oneself is a bit overkill, albeit a good brew.
