Smell and taste of sour cherries. The cherries were significantly more pronounced in the newest 2014 release versus the 2012 release.

draft pour at fest in NJ...easily the highlight of the event..everything about this was phenomenal..good amount of carbonation..nose is cherry forward..taste is super smooth with tartness, sour action, real cherries, touch of the wood presence, all wrapped in one. Glad to try this without having to fork out big money to land a bottle...

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 7/31/2012. Pours fairly crystal clear deep reddish brown color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart cherry, red grape, green apple, red wine vinegar, hay, straw, grass, oak, caramel, toast, musty funk, pepper, light leather, light vanilla, and yeast/oak earthiness. Fantastic aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky yeast, cherries, dark malt, and oak barrel notes; with good strength. Taste of tart cherry, red grape, green apple, red wine vinegar, hay, straw, grass, oak, caramel, toast, musty funk, pepper, light leather, light vanilla, and yeast/oak earthiness. Good amount of fruity/earthy tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of tart cherry, red grape, green apple, red wine vinegar, hay, straw, grass, caramel, toast, oak, vanilla, musty funk, light leather, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity and balance of fruity/funky yeast, cherries, dark malt, and oak barrel flavors; with a great sweetness/tartness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and fairly acidic mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome fruited wild ale. All around great complexity and balance of fruity/funky yeast, cherries, dark malt, and oak barrel flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip on with the balanced acidity. A highly enjoyable offering.

textbook Oud bruin. Kinda surprised me with its presentation. Lots of oak, funk and cherries, but definitely more Flanders than kriek. The best gi beer not named bourbon county or king Henry. Fantastic sour.

Draft. Pours light brown with a small head. Nose is woody with some subtle dirt spiciness. Flavors similar to La Folie, with some tartness and woodiness. Tart and tasty like a great Flanders Red. Would drink copious amounts if I found bottles.

Bottle thanks to Nick. Pours mahoghany with a touch of off white head. Aroma is oak, cherry, acetic. Flavor follows nose. Tart, lemony finish with a touch of raisin. Nice.

Bottle. Dark cloudy ruby with a thick off white head. Aroma is vinous with tons of tart cherry. Taste follows and adds some oaky sweetness and vinegar. Full sticky mouthfeel with moderate carb and a long finish. Great.
