Poured into a tulip at Good Life. Deep mahogany with a foamy off-white head that quickly drops off.
Sour cherry acidic notes on the nose hint at the crisp flavors below. High carbonation reminiscent of champagne. Decidedly dry with a sharp finish of lingering cherry bitter-sweetness.
Certainly a unique brew and the time spent in the bottle has served it well.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
2012 version, 22oz. Trade rew. Pours a deep mahogany color with a small off white head. Aromas of cherries mixed with dry red wine, some oak. Tast is sour and off dry. Flavors of oaked cherry jam with a touch of a wine spritzer thrown in. Carbonation is medium. Alcohol is nowhere to be found. Very oaky, not extremely puckering, just moderately sour. I don’t know, it’s ok.

Healthy sample pour of deeper hazed brown with off white head. Nose is tart an deep malty/fruit. Balsamic and soy like a flemish. Flavor is bright and funky, tart and cherry fruit. Funky and interesting. Horse blanket? Not a bad beer at all, definitely enjoyable but not glass after glass.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Appearance: cloudy medium brown, with reddish edges, and a creamy light tan head. Aroma: big nose of sour cherry, some old wood, lactic funk, and balsamic vinegar, with a whisper of nuts. Taste: brightly tart, with big notes of sour cherry, balsamic vinegar, a hint of green apple and leather. Finish: dry, slightly chewy and herbal, with a lingering sour vinous tartness. Notes: Very bright and extremely sour, even for the style. On draft at Birch and Barley.

On tap at Heidelberg for a Goose Island migration week tap takeover. Dark, dark ruby pour with a thin white head and almost no lacing. The aroma is bursting with sour cherries. There is a distinct sourness with it, but I love the cherry. The flavor is a little lore reserved. Definitely sour, and the Cherry isn't as pronounced. The mouth feel is a little thin, but nicely carbonated. The aftertaste doesn't hang around long but it's sour cherries definitely
