I got a single 750mL bottle of this from Woodman’s in Janesville in November 2012. This pours a reddish brown color with a carbonated head that reminds me more of a cola than a beer. The scent is rich with yeasts and fermented cherries. Initially the taste of yeasty fruit hints you taste buds with a complex blend of ingredients. As the taste develops, it grows into this sweet tart taste that lingers in you mouth well past the swallow. Interesting certainly high end in taste but I was expecting something a little more in the realm of New Glarus Belgian red since this is almost twice as much in cost.

Cloudy brown with a white head. Aroma is funky barnyard straw, fermented cherries, and peach cobbler that sat in the sun all day. Taste is super tart cherry, red wine vinegar, sour candy, and some boot leather on the back end. World class sour.

On tap at Heidelberg for a Goose Island migration week tap takeover. Dark, dark ruby pour with a thin white head and almost no lacing. The aroma is bursting with sour cherries. There is a distinct sourness with it, but I love the cherry. The flavor is a little lore reserved. Definitely sour, and the Cherry isn't as pronounced. The mouth feel is a little thin, but nicely carbonated. The aftertaste doesn't hang around long but it's sour cherries definitely ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Throws a near clear dark burgundy body, under a fully diminishing beige bubble head. Initila aroma is nutty, marzipan- like, quickly offset by a scent of sour cherries. Both lactic and acetic acids here. Easy on the palate for a sour. Medium body strenght. Taste is both fruity and malty. More fruity than malty maybe, with light sour-acidic cherries in th lead. Lingering cherries in the aftertaste. [ 1 pint 6. fl.oz botte, kindly provided by Travlr]

Shared 750 ml. bottle, poured to snifters showing a deep copper color, with a soft white layer of head foam, and dots & dashes of lacing. The nose was fruity as grape & cherry, vinous-like, dry & tart, with a touch of non offensive, vinegary & tannic astringency. The taste was full blown sour, vinous notes, and dryness, with a pleasing, palate scrubbing nature. Very nice!

750ml bottle, thanks to caterwaul for sharing! Totally hazy amber orange red color. Thin off-white ring of head, a few dots of lace. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft, crisp, lighter carbonation. Very satisfying level of moderate to bigger sourness. Good bigger cherry flavor. Fantastic cherry sour.

Bottle from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark, possibly slightly ruddy, amber/brown. Beige/tan head. Sour cherry aroma. Good start that. Med body or better. Flavor is very tart, definitely somewhat sour, cherry. Closer to the best krieks than I’d ever have expected. Extremely delicious.

On draught at Bridgetown Beerhouse during the Mississippi Williams Pub Crawl for PDX Beer Week. Muddy dark brown color. Aroma is funky basement, vinegar, and sour cherry. Taste is wonderful, with tart musty yeast, full sour cherry flavor, and lactic notes. Aftertaste is similar to a cherry cider with the great yeast and funk character added.

Bottle shared at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Hansen & Zita for this bottle! 2010 bottle. Cloudy reddish brown with a beige head. Lovely sourish aroma, funky, with cherries, oak, vinous character, some caramel, cobwebs, a lactic touch and a vinegar note. Sweetish-sourish flavor with cherries, oak, wine, mild funk and a bit of caramel. Rounded mouthfeel. Great stuff, well done.
