3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Excellent as brown ales go, though I’m not sure how true it is to the style: there’s a good deal of hopping here (which was pleasant) and some nice roasted malt flavors, without being as sweet as other brown ales.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Dark brown body tan head. Little lacing. Cola vanilla toffee aroma with earthy notes...damp leaves. Sweet cola vanilla flavor with a nice bitter caramel backdrop. Feels light on the palate. Lightly carbonated but what is there is sharp. Finish unpleasant lasting bitter metallic flavor...maybe some masa in there as well...burnt tortilla? A light mess of a brown on the sweet side.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at clybourn. Poured a dark brown with an amber hue. Lots of malts on the nose with a slight nuttiness. Malty taste with very, very mild hops. Interesting brew that might benefit from more of a punch.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Much darker than I expected...more of a stoutish feel, but still kind of light bodied. Lots of carmel like the other GI brown ales. Pretty good.
