Poured from draft at sheffields. Clear orange pour with white lacy head. Usually don't like Belgium beers, but like this one a lot. Very lemony aroma and taste. Sweet. Super easy drinking. Good summer beer

On tap at Frontera in ORD. Hazy straw gold with pretty good head and thick lacing. Belgian yeast nose with nice bright lemon lime hops and some clove. Taste follows and lime and green tea are there if you look for them for sure. This works really well. Great balance and terrific foil to the spice on the chipotle chicken sandwich with rajas.

Tap at Alchemy. Filtered looking yellow-tan. Thin head. Really smooth and balanced. Nice lime dominated citrus depth. The tea shines as well, mellowing the whole affair. Vanilla, honey tones, very sessionable, clean, delicate...but still manages to have some of that spice bomb thing going on. Great palate, OK beer.

On tap at Frontera Grill. Nice wheaty tone to this, belgian yeast is noticable. There’s a herbal sweetness here. Not bad.

Pours a cloudy dark orange with a white lacing. Aroma of a wit coriander, orange and other citrus notes, a subtle hint of creamsicle. Sweet, , buy not overwhelmingly so. Devoid of bitterness.

The vanilla nose jumps forward after giving it a swirl. The star of the show is definately the citra hops and lime zest, there is no beer possible to compliment Rick Bayless’ cooking

Sample at the Clybourn brewpub. Hazy golden color with a medium foamy white head that burns away steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, yeast and malt. Medium body with flavors of zesty orange, biscuit malt and yeast. The finish is mildly spiced with a citrusy aftertaste. Above average overall.

Had on tap at GI Wrigleyville. Served in a GI chalice. A: Pours a hazy golden color with a little deeper body and light yellow edges. A thin white head forms on the pour and dissipates to thin ring. Some splotch lace is left. S: Very citrusy and zesty up front. Some sweet tangerine with some lemon zest, mild spicy yeast and some orange rind. T: The peppery yeast is up front with a sweet zest of tangerine, lemon and orange. The finish is a of pale malt and some slight chalk. M: Medium to light bodied with a light flavor and solid carbonation. The finish is fruity and dry. O: A solid wit and I really like the flavors the zest of tangerine added. A must try if this style is your thing. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 03-04-2012
