Tap at Madison’s. Pours to a murky golden straw colored body with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet and hoppy with lits of Belgian yeasts and fruit esters. Some lime and tea. The flavor is very complex with yeasts, fruits, some light green tea, and subtle lime. Very well blended for as many ingredients as there are in this beer. The palate is medium bodied but very clean.

On tap at Madison’s - Pours light amber with a ring of white head. Light coriander on the nose, lending spice to a sweet malt base. Light honey and dusty yeast. Taste has much of the same characteristic, with the light, dusty yeast and honey flavors mingling with the sweet malt, green tea, and some floral/citrus notes. Very interesting, and while not a beer I’d revisit too often, it was a really nice change of pace. Too carbonated--real sharp--but a nice body offset that a bit.

Before going back to Lolita and Vanilla BCS I tried one more beer that didn’t quite stand up to the rest. Even so the price was right (free) so I ordered one with no risk. Another solid but not spectacular release this one was memorable only in that it was par for the course for Goose Island’s Belgian lineup.
Aroma / Appearance - Golden with a thin white head the thin sheets of lacing creep down the sides. White pepper, lemon peels, and an extreme citrus bite eat at the senses. Somehow the spices feel a little out of place in everything.
Flavor / Palate - Pepper, grapefruit, lemons, and carbonation idle on the tongue. Flowing smoothly towards the back of the throat it leaves a mark that lingers for a while. Despite being well rounded the parts somehow don’t fit together. Whatever the reason this nice release was overshadowed by other better taps.

On tap at Madison’s. Poured cloudy medium golden with just a dusting of white head. The aroma picked up lemon and grassy notes over soft pale and bready maltage.. well-balanced and enjoyable. The flavor found honey and redder fruits at the core, with lemon and Pine-Sol-inspired hop accents.. spruce and related spices in there too.. dry, bitter, earthy finish. Medium-bodied and dry on the palate.. not great, but a decent drinker.

Appearance is hazy golden with little head that eventually fades to none at all. Aroma is mild lemon peel, spicy yeast, pear, coriander, and honey. Taste is remarkably balanced between very yeasty/spicy, pear, and honey. Body is medium, sticky, average carbonation, lush finish. Overall, a very tasty and well balanced brew from Goose, went exceptionally well with my grilled wahoo entree at Frontera Grill!

On tap at Girl and the Goat in Chicago. A nice belgian wheat. Aroma is bready. Taste is mainly citrusy. Very lite on the hops which I like. One of the best of this kind that I’ve had. Hope they start bottling and distributing this one

On tap at Topolobampo. Pours a hazy orange with a white head. Aroma of fruit, Belgian yeast, orange, wheat. Good flavor, orange and grapefruit in the flavor, nice Belgian flavor. Well done.

Enjoyed on tap at the mega Whole Foods while getting groceries and watching the Champions league final. Appearance somewhat cloudy golden hue with thin white head that rims around the chalice glass. Aroma of Belgian yeast, cloves, banana, and slight bubble gum. Taste is pretty smooth with a slight crispness in the end, not really a ’bite’ per se but just a crisp finish. This has a bit of spice probably from the clove, the banana is also somewhat diminished. One flavor doesn’t stand out, it is well balanced and flavorful but also a bit light. Its nice, a good beer. I wouldn’t say its worth $8 though.

At small bar on Fullerton. My first reaction was that this beer has a lot of flavors going on. I found it difficult to place many of the flavors but after reading the description I see that is has some unusual stuff. I think that the combination of spices and additives works however it might have been a little too sweet. Serving: Tap
