Well holy shit, not only can I get this beer at O’Hare, but it’s also served a Frontera where the prices don’t seem to be airport-mark up ridiculous. Poured into a Goose Island goblet. Pours golden with an orange tint. Barely a ring of white head. Nose of Belgian yeast, coriander, some gentle green tea notes. Taste adds a bit of sweetness and a somewhat dry finish. Solid, especially with Mexican fare.

Tap at Fizz in Chicago. It’s foggy yellow and the foamy top gives off a sweet aroma. This is one of the better beers I’ve had from Goose Island. It’s herbal, veggie-like, and really spicy. The spice levels toe the line to the point that they’re nearly too strong, nearly artificial. I liked it though. It’s like a summer version of a holiday spice beer - cooler, lighter, and more refreshing than a holiday spice, but still loaded with flavor.

Golden color with a small white head. The aroma is pretty fruity, with some pie crust and orange peel. The flavor is similar, and adds a lot of spices. The finish is very dry. Really refreshing and very tasty.

Pours a brownish golden color with a large creamy off white head. Notes of citrus rind, herbs, spices, and candi sugar. Creamy mouthfeel and medium length finish. Almost like a belgian meets IPA. Interesting.

Draught at Frontera Grill. Murkey orange/amber - white head.  Wheaty. Phenolic. Yeasty. Kids vitamines. Fruity. Esters. Apples. Orange. Light hoppy. Light malty. Just belgian.

"Tastes like perfume," my girlfriend says. Certainly plenty of citrus and spice-- coriander, orange/lemon zest. Excellent to drink with a meal, as I did.

Tap at Rick Bayless Frontera O’Hare Airport. Golden pour with a one finger white head. Lots of tiny bubbles in the glass. Sweet cereal nose. Taste is fruit loops cereal with coriander and a lingering hop bitterness in the back of my mouth. Full in the mouth. Nice, drinkable, beer with lunch.

First flavor is of apple juice, so is the color and aroma. There is a slight sour tingle, but the most prevalent flavor is that of my own saliva. Maybe the flavor is too delicate or the beer is to carbonated, but I’m not getting much satisfactions from this. My guess would be saison or bier de garde, albeit a very subdued example. On tap at the 12 South Winter Warmer beer festival in Nashville, TN.

On tap @ Topolobampo. Pours a slightly hazy apple cidery hue with a thin soapy white head... Aroma of clove, brown sugar and spice... Flavors follow suit with a semisweet triple profile with a decent degree of spicing involved. Finishes on a semi-dry note overall.

Draft at Bavarian Lodge. Bright golden ale color, thin foam on surface. Light nose with toasty Belgian malts, a bit of hop, and a whiff of potpourri spices. First sip feels like it should be sugary, but they seem to have let it ferment out further, and then the spice combo keeps it from getting too sweet. Not a session ale you can relax to; this one demands your full attention. Don’t know that I’m picking out the green tea here, more of a "tea with lemon" impression, like a slight taste of tea astringency. it’s a fine beer but I keep waiting for something more. Call me spoiled.
