Had a pint on tap at World of Beer Columbus. Interesting. Creamy, less sour than funk. Fairly light and refreshing. Spicy.

Sampled at Rattle N Hum, NYC. Pours hazy golden with an off white head. Aroma of brett upfront, with citrus, fruitiness, and all of the barnyard, horse blanket and wet dog notes I can handle on a Monday evening in New York. Flavour is light moderate sweet and bitter. Really dry finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Sample at the Decatur Craft Beer Fest. Pours dark gold, with a thin, off-white head. The aroma is oranges, rye, sharp bleu cheese and some other light funk. The flavor is strong citrusy sweetness, while the brett sourness is surprisingly mild and smooth. Medium body, sticky, and a little acidic. Overall, a smooth, crisp, refreshing beer. The brett is very forward, but isn’t abrasive. Very nice.

Blonde golden pour with a thin white creamy head and light sticky lacing .... aroma is strong and of brett, pear/apple combo, some fruity belgian yeast and sweet caramel malts .... taste is more of a light sour brett with more of a fruity yeast/apple/pear taste ... mouthfeel is dry and tart ... finish is dry and abrupt ... abv hidden well

Goose island tap takeover at old major Denver. Pours a hazy orange with big tan head. Orange zest taste with a belgain yeast finish.

Draft sample at Tap House Grill, Westmont. Big, fluffy meringue head, lacing over a murky yellow body. Of course there’s a big, tart Brett smell. I had not known when I tried it that this was ALL Brett, since it did not go overboard with sourness. Instead, it actually came closer to a zestier version of a Sophie than the savory Matilda. Still boasts a large malt flavor, with the ferment providing some lemon, old hay, and green apple. Quite yummy for those who like ’em sour.

Tap @ Tap and Handle. Pours a bit hazy dark orange appearance with a white head. Spicy orange fruity, a bit funky, light barnyard, tangerine aroma. Vanilla, tangy, tangerine, citrusy, slightly herbal/floral flavor. Average.

A surprising dud from Goose Island is acceptable. Given the price for a pint though I would have preferred another local pour from Against the Grain or Sun King. This is one of those beers that sounds good on paper but somehow fails in execution.

Aroma / Appearance - The idle lazy carbonation and wispy head inspires less excitement than planned. Tangy sour notes stick in the air. Lemon pledge, orange polish, and sweetness hang around but not the way they do in other Goose Island sours.

Flavor / Palate - Malty and bretty it has a sacchrine texture that detracts from its positive aspects. Candy sugar, orange, and other dry aspects hang around a little too long like the last guest at the party. This almost works but I’d rather have plain Matilda instead.

Interesting beer. Belgian yeast. Nice carbonation. Good color. Subtle background of sour ad sweet. Not enough in my opinion, though. Clashes a bit with the bitterness. Perhaps the lambicus naming has me wishing for more. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
