3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Growler from Whole Foods. If I read another review complaining that a brett beer doesnít have enough sour, Iím going to scream. Brett does not equal sour. Other yeasty beasties create sourness. Brett creates minimal sourness. Plenty of funk, but not sour. Aaargghh! In any case. Deep gold, some solid haziness as you hit the bottom of the growler. Slight head. Aroma is funk, wheat, pear fruit, touch of grassiness. Flavor matches, maybe a touch of cheesiness in there too. Really like what the brett did with the Matilda malts. Well done, Goose Island always seems capable of impressing me.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap @ Churchillís. Light orange in color with a white head. Nose is cracker, pepper, and spicy phenols. Big yeast aroma, some sweet malt, a hint of candied citrus, and pear. Flavor is pretty heavy on the spice. Cracker and sweet malt. Pear, candied orange peel, yeast, and a subtle funk.

tap. Either I was given the wrong beer, or this isnít even a little bit sour. No noticeable brett. Flavor is pleasant with some mild belgian spice, but not what I expected. Based on the other reviews, I see Iím not the only one.

Amber pour, nice tart Brett aroma with light fruit. Taste is similar but really dry, faint fruit/tart.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
I knew the rating going in and I didnít believe it could be so low--it just had to be an interesting beer. But it wasnít. As others have said, there was a little bit of funkiness to the aroma, but it struck me that it was much more like a tripel than a lambic, and the Brett left very little. Certainly no sourness. Neither were the fruits and florals very bright. Pretty tame. In fact, I didnít even finish my glass. Too bad. (on tap, The Happy Gnome, St. Paul)

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at Untapped fest. Orange pour with a white head. The aroma has some light brett notes as well as a little funk, wood and some Belgian yeast. The flavor is similar. I get some light sour notes as well as some brett-induced funk. There is also a bit of grape with some toffee and yeast notes. Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation. Decent beer, but I was expecting more.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours amber with an orange hue and big creamy lacey soft white sandy head. Aroma is refreshingly funky with the Brett strain showcasing here. Flavor also is large Brett profile and a smooth ending, no tart and medium funk.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Petrol Station. Pours a cloudy orange with thick creamy white head that lasts leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is strong yeast, brett, and some spice. Medium mouthfeel with sweet fruit, light tart, brett, and lingering funk finish. Good variant on the original.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
I really, really wanted this to be stellar, and it just wasnt. Nice pour and starts like matilda but then this peppery poblano taste kicks in and it ends without any thing special. Decent if you like matilda, but I want more sour.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
On tap at BLB, pours an orange with a thin white head. Aroma of dry grapes and Belgian yeast. Taste of stale cardboard like Belgian yeast that hits up against the wild yeast giving it an all around unappealing bitterness.
