Tepid orange-amber with a fizzy white ring for a head that no coaxing could help. Grainy, floral nose of cherry and honey, some yeast and earth, like creek bed (yes, that is a scent). Medicinal flavor of honey, too much alcohol. Some cheap fizz in the body, alleviates the syrupy texture. Overall pretty weak effort. Most Belgian Ales I’ve had are somewhat complex, and at the least, light on their feet and refreshing. This is neither. Dedollewaitor (3649), Odense, Denmark

Pours a clear amber with tiny yeast chunks and a creamy white foam and lacings. Nose is fruity, yeasty and spicy. Orange and herbs. Taste is dry and crisp with notes of hops, funk, fruits, medicine, cellar and yeast. Smooth palate. Not as complex as the "almighty" but however .- Very tasty indeed! johndoughty (2156), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 7, 2009 Pours a slightly cloudy orange/amber with a minimal antique lace head. Not much aroma; some notes of wet grass. Somewhat sour off flavor, but yet none-the-less pleasant. Wild yeast and spiciness present as well. Nice effort. Lightly hazed orange with a plume of yellow foam. The head lasts forever. A very fuddy yeast nose. Slight lemon and fresh herb aromas too. Seriously creamy and full flavoured. Crisp and light, refreshing and toffee flavoured. Tingly spices and burnt sugar. Darned delicious, restrained and easy.
Tap @ The White Horse:
Brown/orange with a ring o’ white head. Sweet candy aromas with a fruity twinge. Beautifully heady lemon and yeast flavour. Perfect smoothness with a slight tingle in there. Possibly my favourite Belgian style USA beer? jbuzz (660), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
