Poured from a bottle [10 / 10 / 108 1744]. Hazy golden orange color, mediumsized white head Tastes citrusy, hoppy, sweet. Lightly carbonated. A very well balanced beer. And very enjoyable.

Bottle. Pour was amber/brown with a thick and creamy off white head. Aroma of fruity Belgian yeast and light spice. Very finely balanced brew with flavors as well as carbonation. Flavors are fruity, yeasty, very light clove and spice, but all were very well blended. I’m impressed. This brew was almost a session type beer. I’d love to drink many of this one.

TAP: at Stub & Herb’s, 2.22.09. Rich amber pour, spicy banana on the nose. Not boozy, but drinks like a higher ABV beer. Great Belgian flavor.

12 oz bottle at Stockholm Beer Festival 2008. Hazy amber color. Tart, fruity and spicy aroma with mango, apricot and clove. Sweet flavo with fair amount of tropical fruits, clove, pepper and low bitterness. Fairly tasty, a bit too sweet for me.

On tap at Goose Island O’Hare. Pours a cloudy copper with a nice head. The aroma is yeasty with hints at clove, banana, and an array of spices. All aspects are tastefully balanced. The mouthfeel is medium and works well. The finish is barely bitter with a fair amount of hops, but this is mostly about the esters. I get vinous hints with lots of clove and coriander. This is very drinkable.

Bottle. Meant to resemble Orval (or i think i remember someone saying this to me, could be wrong). This is sweeter, with less noticeable brett characters than you would find in Orval. Still pleasant Belgian-ness, with soem slightly dry bitter hops in the finish.
