Aug 21, 2008 Nice to look at. Slightly sour, but in a Belgian yeast sort of way. Really tasty malt and yeast combination. Slight bitter hop presence. Maybe a little too easy to drink. Great job!

Aug 19, 2008 2007 Bottle. This pours a darker yellow color. After pouring a thick white head was present. Aroma is spicy and has lemon and citrus in it. Has a very smooth mouthfeel. Great beligian style beer

Aug 18, 2008 The beer pours a yellow orange very clear with a thick white head. The nose is a mix of citrus and yeast with a spicy note. The taste is great a well balanced mix of yeast and spice with a nice finish. Yummy

more ginger with a bit of hops

Aug 17, 2008 Found this on draft at Charlie’s Ale house in Munster, IN where iticame a rich amber wtih good foamy with head. Nice head for a pub pour. Nose of ripe fruit. Smooth mouthfeel. Flavors are again of ripe fruits and he finish is clean . Great brew and I am very glad i discovered this one. Great way to end my beer drinking expedition in the midwest before catching the plane home.

Aug 16, 2008 Pours an amber colour with a large foamy off white head.
Aroma is initially candied fruit (orange), apple/pear upon closer scrutiny. An earthy yeast underneath.
Flavour is spicy and earthy, pear and orange peel fruitiness. caramel malt underneath.
Finishes with a clean refreshing tartness. No hint of it’s 7%.
Very nice.

Aug 16, 2008 I had this on tap at West End in Chicago. Came out in a trappist glass looking beautiful. It was a gorgeous dark amber color with a very frothy 1 finger width tan head. The aroma consisted of a lot of yeast with some fruit undertones. I wish we would have sat inside so I could enjoy the aroma more. The taste was very refreshing with a lot of sweet caramel malts and a lot of spices and fruit. Finished very smooth. I have heard great things about this beer and definitely believe what I have heard. An excellent brew!
