Dec 30, 2007 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Sammy. Vintage 2006. Hazy, amber golden with a dense, off-white head leaving some lacing. Sweetish, spicy nose with a touch of yeast. Medium body, a little yeastiness and spices before an astringent almost Orval-like bitterness. Interesting. 171207

Dec 26, 2007 12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with a little, dense and off-white head. Light brettish note with light spice note and some caramel malt. Flavour is slight soapy, nice caramel malty and with a nice yeasty mellow note. Finish follows the same mellow line with a light fruity brett note, very controlled.

Dec 26, 2007 I have had this a couple of times on draft and bottle, draft looked a little darker? Either way its a little too sweet for my taste, but it’s obvious why people like it - its VERY Belgian. Bottle tells the Orval story, and all the Goose limited relaeses look cool. Possibly a little overpriced, but like the Pere Jacques I can’t say anything bad, it just isn’t my favorite style.

Dec 17, 2007 Bottle. Pours a hazy orange colour with a big steady off-white creamy head. Aroma of yeast, citrus, spice and fruit. Good mouthfeel. The flavour is fruity with yeast and citrus, bitter hops and some malt. Bitter, yeasty and fruity spiced dry finish.

Dec 13, 2007 bottle poured into a trappist glass has an orange amber in color, light sediment, and a thin layer of white foam on the surface that did attempt to lace. initial aroma on the pour had yeast and fruit, some sharp spice, caramel, orange peel, malt, and is really nice to smell. taste is mid range on the mouth feel, flavor is spicy, nice yeast that has lighter fruit character than the smell led me to believe, dominated by the sharpness of the spice but thankfully the malt does keep it from being too much. really a nice brew, has a good story to go with it, also some strong flavors but the complexity of it keeps me interested, props go out to these guys for pulling this off so well.

Dec 7, 2007 Bottle - 750mL with a crown. Label states 6.5% ABV and 2007 Batch. Pours amber with a moderate fading tan head. Aroma is spicy with fruit notes, Belgian yeast and sweet malts. Slightly hoppy as well. Taste is sweet with spicy notes, more yeast, flowers, and fruit. Body is light-medium with mild carbonation. Light bitterness in spots. Ends with more fruit, spices, strong yeast and sweet malts. Very nice session style Belgian Ale.
