Échantillon, bue au Mondial de la bière 2007, savourée le 2 juin 2007; oeil : cuivrée, pas d’effervescence, légèrement voilée, petit anneau de mousse amande; nez : beau houblon floral, malt caramélisé; bouche : malt caramélisé, laiteux, houblon légèrement amère, finale curieusement douce et crémeuse et en même temps malt caramélisé et pointe de houblon, texture crémeuse, corps moyen, carbonatation moyenne, légèrement amère, moyennement sucrée; en résumé : bien MoDog (909), Griffith, Indiana, USA Oct 28, 2007 On tap and served in a shaker (this bar didn’t appear to have much of a selection of glassware). This beer poured a clear golden/amber with a thin head of tight beige bubbles. Some spotty lacing was left around the glass. The aroma of the beer was made up of orange peel, caramel, and bread. The flavor was similar but also included some lightly spicy yeast esthers as well as a bit of candi sugar. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with light carbonation. A nice beer from Goose Island. bitbucket (2026), Kirkland, Washington, USA Oct 25, 2007 750 courtesy after4ever. Pours hazy orange with a thick and fluffy off-white head. Fruit and spice aroma. Medium body and light carbonation. Fruit and citrus taste. Dry spice finish. LtJudge (431), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA Oct 25, 2007 Pours a Cloudy amber color with a creamy colored head. Nice fruity aroma with a hint of hop notes. Big fruity candied belgian yeast flavor with a slight malt backing. Nice flavor of spices as well and a bitter finish. Logethan (1), USA does not count Oct 24, 2007 Beautifal amber color, nice thick frothy white head. Great flavor, slightly fruity, some good hoppiness, spicy. Great beer for early fall when it’s still warm out. redlight (1445), Winter Park, Florida, USA Oct 23, 2007 Light and fruity aroma, white grapes, starfruit, with hints of caramel and brown sugar. Pours very light amber. Light but finishes with a rich malt flavor, caramelly, brown sugar, fruity, light citrus, spicy. Very easy to drink, great beer! after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA Oct 21, 2007 750, capped. Thanks, Footy! Pours nearly clear medium amber with a thinnish, nearly white head. Modest nose of restrained fruit, maybe some tangy tangerine. Light body on the attack, subdued carb, and there’s that tangerine again. Body goes a bit watery before it’s gone. Odd little rush of pie spice there at the end. Kind of a perplexing beer, but certainly tasty, interesting, and different. AOF (282), Naperville, Illinois, USA Oct 18, 2007 Golden amber, clean rust color. Full, fizzy off white head. Noticeable sediment. Lots of fruit in the nose. Apricot, peach, banana and bit of orange. Hints of bubblegum and yeast. Medium bodied brew with alot of character. Well carobonated and balanced. A very good beer.
