350 ml bottle from archer liquors. Deep orange amber with a fluffy white head. Fruity and pungent yeast aroma. Bright palate. Crisp orange and spice taste with a dry finish.

Bottle Mondial. Candied malt aroma, fine citrus hops too, copper, pours a small custard head. Terrific combination of malt, oranges and caramel toffee. Spicy, firey, malty, creamy. Like all the best candy in one mouthfull!

2006 Bottle from Acertain. Thanks man. Beautiful hop aroma that reminds me of Orval, but not as pronounced. Same floral, sharp hops in the taste accompanied by a little pepper, citrus and backed well with malt. Not much sweetness, and you can’t taste the alcohol. I dig this.

This brew is deceptively attractive. It looks like thick honey with a white head. I am not crazy about the flavor. It tastes like ginger and I do not care for ginger. Not my favorite by a long shot.

Draft @GTMW. Pours a medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma has a bit of maltiness and a great hop presence. A very interesting flavor. Nice Belgian spices, but with an amount of hops not normally found in a Belgian ale. A bit of fruit as well. Even mouthfeel, with very little alcohol flavor coming through. I’ve had this in the past, and enjoyed this draft version much better. I think the freshness helped out the hops, which seemed muted in the past, probably due to elapsed time in the bottle.

bottle- golden brown with little to no head. says there is alot of hops, but I cant seem to find any myself. curious to know exactly what the spice flavor in this beer is. something familiar, just cant place it. not as impressed with this brew as I thought I might be. Maybe with a couple years cellaring it would be better. not in a hurry to try again

Light and fruity aroma. Very pleasant. No sign of alcohol. Deep color, dark amber. No head. Mild flavors with an alcohol warming in the finish. Flavors don’t fully come out as strongly as in other beers. I taste fruit, earth. Tastes like it should be in a dark forest. Good mouthfeel, not too much alcohol. Very crisp at the end as well. It will need to be rated again soon.
