thenick (742), North Bellmore, New York, USA Jul 18, 2007 Pours a golden orange color with a lacy white head. Aroma is floral hops with yeast and citrus characteristics as well. Candy sugar somewhat detectable. Taste is citrus up front, but the yeast, sugar, and fruit characteristics come shining through in the end. This is a very subtly complex beer and a wonderful offering from Goose Island. EithCubes (2140), Indiana, USA Jul 16, 2007 2006 Bottle. Yeasty nose with orange and citric zest, touch of candy sugar and lots of wet fruit. Really an incorrigible gusher, caught all of this one, though. Hazy-opaque goldenish orange with a strong carbonation tornado in the middle and a huge, yeast-driven, lacing, rocky, spoonable beige head. Taste a nice balance of acidity, bitterness, and light sweetness, malt and fruit with yeast. Crisp medium+ body, prickling but very soft. Aftertaste is yeasty and very dry, faint perfume notes linger on. Orvallish but not quite on the same level; still an excellent go. bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark Jul 12, 2007 Bottled. Dark amber coloured with a medium sized off-white head. Malty with notes of yeasts, citrus, caramel and also have a floral feel to it. Jukkabro (2981), Tampere, Finland Jul 11, 2007 Dark coppery colored, medium sized white head. Cloudy appearance. Yeasty aroma with some Netherland-yeasty tones, flowers also there with lemony fruitiness. Medium bodied. Flavor is even richer with these hoppy-flowers, yeast in sweet aftertaste too. oh6gdx (8798), Vasa, Finland Jul 10, 2007 Bottled (thanks heemer77!). Hazy golden orange colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is hayish hops along with some weirdly dryish notes. Flavour is skunked hops with some really flowery hints. Also some wooden and spicy notes in it as it warms up a little bit. A very mouthdrying thing. aobecksy (661), Middle of no where, Ohio, USA Jul 9, 2007 Thanks AgedOak. Sticky head with light lacing and white head; Aroma is sweet and peppery. Taste like rock candy and mixed nuts, very clean finish.
stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 8, 2007 Bottle sampled with Mad indian, from a trade with Ohiodad. Pours Golden with an orange hue. Aroma of spices, belgian style yeast, and fruit. The flavor is smooth, sweet, fruit, spices, yeast, and a good hoppy finish. MadIndian (987), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 7, 2007 Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus, courtesy of an ohio dad trade. Cloudy orange pour with tiny head. Bread, spice and malt aroma. Taste was good but it was mising something. It fell a little flat for me. Not a bad brew but no WOW factor !
