FatPhil (3449), Espoo, Finland Jul 26, 2009 355ml bottle (Kaisla, Helsinki)
Mid orange, tiny head, clear. Aroma of frankfurters - or am I just sitting too close to the kitchen or smokers’ terrace? Massively fruity taste - melon? Sweet malty body, and a pleasant hoppy bite. Also some sweet pumpkin pie. Under-attenuated, may benefit from some aging, but in a screw-top bottle that doesn’t make sense. Mid-way between a belgian ale and an american sucrose-bomb. Closer to the latter if anything. Finish is very simple - fruity and sweet. Some toffee, some subtle hops. Too damn sweet. Covers 7% well, using the mechanism of being insanely sugary. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA Jul 25, 2009 crazy bottle, so carbonated. barely could get a glass out of it. Very yeasty, sweet, fruity. bad aftertaste, that kills it. bierkoning (5989), La Tropica, Netherlands Jul 23, 2009 2008 bottle, shared @ Smithfield Hotel Manchester. Very fruity aroma.
