hellbilly (1492), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA Jul 13, 2009 2008 bottle brought back by the bockyhorseys.
hazy copper-ish rusty amber with a small off white head and lots of drippy trails of lace.
it smells slightly tart...like grapes mixed with piloncilla sugar, spice, flowers, orange, yeast and malty sweetness.
the flavor initially reminds me of the gum you used to get as a child with the baseball cards!... so, bubblegum, dried grapes (intensified sweetness yet still a bit tart), warm earthy cinnamon-y spice, belgian-like yeast and pale malt sweetness with a dry finish.
the body is medium though it is light enough to drink a lot of. tart fruitiness keeps me coming back... 7/4/7/4/15/3.7 Ethereal (1500), London, Greater London, England Jul 12, 2009 On tap at the White Horse, Parsons Green, 3rd July 09. Had a 2009 version tonight. Totally different beer. has Brett in it, nose mostly. not sure it is better and tempted to lower my review but I’m not. mjs (1445), Helsinki, Finland Jul 12, 2009 (Bottle, 0.355 l, at Olutkellari Helsinki on 2009-07-11) Orange and lightly hazy.
