2008 bottle brought back by the bockyhorseys. hazy copper-ish rusty amber with a small off white head and lots of drippy trails of lace. it smells slightly tart...like grapes mixed with piloncilla sugar, spice, flowers, orange, yeast and malty sweetness. the flavor initially reminds me of the gum you used to get as a child with the baseball cards!... so, bubblegum, dried grapes (intensified sweetness yet still a bit tart), warm earthy cinnamon-y spice, belgian-like yeast and pale malt sweetness with a dry finish. the body is medium though it is light enough to drink a lot of. tart fruitiness keeps me coming back... 7/4/7/4/15/3.7

ྫྷoz 2007 bottle) Pours a rusty orange with 2 finger head, nice lacing. Nose is coriander, spicy clove/cinnamon. Taste is spicy cinnamon, no bitterness, semisweet light hops, and a dry finish. Heavily carbonated like champagne, a very complex and enjoyable American-made Belgian-style beer. Had a 2009 version tonight. Totally different beer. has Brett in it, nose mostly. not sure it is better and tempted to lower my review but I’m not.

Bottle 355ml. @ home.
Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate yeasty, spicy ! coriander, light alcoholic. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, and a alcoholic burn in the finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090604]

Bottle shared with the guys at the Barrios’ 500th Swallow Tasting. Thanks Maniac. Great palate cleanser. Good lemony sour but still has a sweetness. Hazy golden with bright white head. Very effervescent.

Pours a cloudy copper color with a medium white head and some lacing. Smells buttery with sweet aromas of fruits and florals. Tastes of caramel malt, fruit, and spices. Finishes dry. Quite good overall.
