355ml/12floz bottle into a trappist glass; served cool. Bottled on 18April2013, reviewed on 9December2013.
Aroma: Oranges and sweet tangerines! Spices; I’m not sure how to describe it, it’s faint but reminds me of snickerdoodle cookies. All pretty mild, but pretty nice!
Appearance: Clear orange-yellow body with a semi-persistent, foamy, white head.
Taste: Strong spiced orange flavor. Somewhat yeasty, too.
Palate: Medium body, with a moderate-long spicy finish.
Overall: The subtlety of the aroma cleverly disguised the huge amount of spice and orange/tangerine flavors in the taste. Really good stuff, I enjoyed it a lot!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
P: A clear honey glow with floating particles and a small white head. Head vanishes as quickly as it formed and leaves a thin transparent swirl on top.
S: Honey, bandaids, cinnamon, fruit esters, coriander, barley, melon and a clean yeast strain.
T/M: Cinnamon apple sauce, metallic taste in the back, orange oil, peroxide, biscuity, pears, powdery yeast, lime, barley, grains of paradise, coriander. Medium body with a prickly carbonated flare finishes semi dry.
O: A well balanced brew that has great flavor. The spice profile plays well off the earthiness and fruit presence. I’m anxious to grab more and put done age on it.

Bottle at beer rebellion. Bottled 19/06/13. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a white head a lots of visible carbonation. Aroma is yeasty, a little sour and a touch spicy. Light body, a touch thin with full carbonation. It's apples, white wine, a little bit of cloves, lemon cake and a touch of boozy warmth. Nice.

765ml bottle. Pours a light amber with some fine sediment floaters, and a cream coloured head. Aroma has a delicious traditional alcoholic cider note, light caramel, yeast, light spice, and light pear. Medium bodied with fruity cider like notes up front, yeast, light spice, light pear, mineral notes, a light soapy note and very faint barnyard. Makes me think of Orval with the barnyard removed, which for me is an improvement. Thumbs up!
