12oz bottle into a trappist glass. Definitely Belgian, but lacking flavor... flat in profile.

Source: On tap at Medici in Normal, IL.
Appearance: Poured a cloudy gold color with a thin white head.
Aroma: The aroma was very spicey, with notes of orange peel and yeast. Very pleasant aroma.
Flavor: The flavor was candi sugar and fruit. A very spicey finish.
Palate: Medium/full body with softish carbonation and a silky mouthfeel.
Overall: Glad to try one of the GI high gravity beers. I have a BCS waiting in my fridge. Gives me a lot of hope for it.

Hazy amber. Huge, dense, spongey, off white head. Spicy, yeasty, sour, fruity (light colored fruits), lightly sweet. Dry finish. Medium body, balanced. Not as good as the real thing, but a damn fine brew.

32 fl oz bottle. Creamy orange white head. Orange coloured and slightly hazy. Apricot and lychee aromas with a soft sweet background. Distant peppery notes. Apricot flavours and a soft malty taste. Finishes fruity with a light, almost watery, aftertaste.

On tap at GABF 2009. Pours a hazy reddish-amber color with a nice large white head. Aroma is yeast, wheat, caramel, spices, and candied fruits. Good but smells just a bit soapy. Some tartness evident. Flavor is nice and slightly tart, yet also sweet, with wheat, yeast, caramel, spices, fruity esters, and a hint of funk. Body is medium and palate is smooth with soft carbonation from the bottle conditioning. Overall pretty good but not a standout.

On tap. Big golden pour with plenty of foam. Big fruity, yeasty nose. Flavor is fruity and spicy, a bit of dryness in the finish. Some brett, some apricot. A bit of spice. Nice to drink.
